Wow. This week’s $INST (now $FLUID) activity on Uniswap is another clear example of how sudden spikes in trading demand translate into explosive fee yield for LP providers. The INST–WETH 1% pool briefly pushed past 160% APR, outperforming nearly every major ETH pair on Uniswap. Moments like this are exactly what Saffron Vaults are built for, so let's dig in with a🧵:

The last 2 days of yield on @Uniswap have been a macroeconomic microcosm. A case study on: 1. the weakening dollar, 2. strength in metals, and 3. altcoin attention The INST–WETH 1% pool briefly pushed past 160% APR, outperforming nearly every major ETH pair on Uniswap with significant TVL. We saw this in the past two weeks with FRAX recently (more on this later). A perfect use-case for Saffron vaults: increasing yield exposure by buying variable yield on @Saffron.

The results have been mutually beneficial for the fixed and variable sides because of the rise of precious metals. The above gold/silver position has a 25% fixed rate, and yet, the variable side is already in profit (+75% PnL) after only 4 days.
