My Health Journey: From toxic mold and lyme to reaching 1000ng/dl+ T levels At 17 years old I was riddled with almost every symptom imaginable. Chronic fatigue, joint pain and random weekly fevers for years with no resolution. On the outside - I looked like the spitting image of health to my friends. I ate clean all the time, wore six pack abs at all seasons, and could run 4:30 splits. This could not have been further from the truth. Without knowing it at the time, I had created the perfect storm to completely destroy my health. Overtraining, and undereating combined with working out in a basement with black mold and getting babesia - it's no wonder my body gave out.  But the bouts of debilitating fatigue and brain fog weren’t even the worst of my symptoms. As a young man I was struggling with zero sex drive or function. After years of unsuccessful sex I considered ending it all. Doctors said I was too young to have any of these issues and either tried to get me referred to a therapist or just prescribed me with viagra. After nearly 5 years of trying every protocol, diet, and supplement and spending thousands of dollars in testing I was no closer to any real answer. Other than a misdiagnosis of lymphoma - Doctors were at a complete loss of what was going on. It wasn’t until I began working with multiple naturopaths, functional medicine practitioners, and yes - spending more money on testing that I was able to start determining the causes of my issues.  2022 A New Me I quit my job, went traveling, and came back with a completely different game plan. I was introduced to the work of Ray Peat through Danny Roddy and Georgi Dinkov, and began connecting all the dots.  I stopped training all together, on an animal based diet with lots of carbs, and used several protocols that helped increase my testosterone and thyroid levels to more than double what they had been.  My mood, personality, sex drive all came back online for the first time in over 5 years. I felt like I had hit puberty again.  Not only was I now putting muscle on despite working out less, I had started enjoying old hobbies again. The heavy cloud in my head had been lifted - and I was once again this child with a healthy dopaminergic system. Yay me. To go over every detail of what helped (and hurt) would be a literal book. But to hear my whole story I’ll be posting a future article here soon. For now - check out the rest of my twitter for bits of info I’ve learned on my journey thus far. Keep fighting my friend :) you’re closer than you think

In mice, Astragalus polysaccharides (APS) improved size of the thymus and the spleen, two critical immune organs They also restored the activity of many important antioxidant systems like the glutathione or dismutase system which are very important for the thymus niche as there is low catalase activity to begin with This root extract gets more and more interesting to treat immune issues

@sam_empie Yeh in this case would be useful to see if hba1c is also elevated

Don't rely on fasting blood glucose or Hba1c, fasting insulin will often be elevated long before its reflected in blood glucose signalling early insulin resistance. The results below are in a client with borderline hba1c but optimal insulin levels are between 2-6.

Endoscopies are incredibly over-ordered for people who just have SIBO. Waste of money, time, and resources for a procedure that rarely even detects overgrowth. Often just leaves the person with a sore gut for a week.

Apparently you can only have high T if you inject it 😂

Not sure how else to show proof But this was some of my lab progression Never claimed “natty” but have never injected testosterone I have no hate for those that use TRY but to be called a grifter and a liar just because I have high T without injecting testosterone is a crazy take 😂
ttexashedge@ttexashedge

@sam_empie you inject testosterone, you don’t know anything, that’s about it you raised your testosterone by injecting it

Brother why the hate? I post here to share my journey and have no reason to lie And yes I was smart and intentional about using labs while working with a practitioner to see how different protocols affected my labs - especially when symptoms occurred For me, whenever estradiol went over 35 I tended to see issues with erections regardless of other levels

Done this exact thing 4 years ago My notes: - serum T got above 1100 - DHT was 70s (used to be a messily 30) - libido and erectile quantity was great a first, but soon I started aromatising too much and lost some quality - APPETITE - Thermic effect of androsterone was very potent and actually became too hot in the summer
r eat@supplementmaxer

Testing this out now no more testosterone just DHEA E and Androsterone E with pregnenolone and some progesterone.

New study suggesting that gut bacteria recycle hydrogen gas in order to created deuterium depleted nutrients 😯 Suggesting once again, that SIBO needs to be solved from many angles and that many overgrowths are actually the body trying to compensate or protect itself

@ttexashedge It’s not because I tracked it And I have a feeling that even if I took the time to record all my labs you will still believe it’s made up I’ve been in the healing space for 8+ years and have grown very aware of my body during that time

@sam_empie - libido and erectile quantity was great a first, but soon I started aromatising too much and lost some quality This is also complete nonsense regardless of your bloodwork, you don’t know what you’re talking about and that’s clear

Andro was the thing I used the least I also had the foundation built for many years leading up to that My gut needing tons of work, my work environment changed, I spent way more time outdoors and respected my circadian health These supps were the 10% boost not the whole picture You can’t expect any supplement to solve your issues without looking at the whole picture, dialing in nutrition and light, and support weak areas of physiology
