I got a job at a place that ended up being a total bait and switch, so I wasn’t planning on staying long. At the end of the 2nd week our paychecks were dropped on our desks and mine was considerably less than it should’ve been. It had been two weeks of total BS and smugness from them, so I was done. I gathered my stuff and told the manager I quit. He said I needed to give two weeks notice and I said, “for the next two weeks you’ll notice I’m not here” and left...

So, I emailed a signed resignation letter to my boss first thing this morning. I decided she didn't deserve the respect of a face to face. In the letter I stated that I would be using PTO the last week. Her- You need to submit leave request in writing. Me- it's in writing. Her- No, in a leave request email. Ok, whatever, so I did. Next- She sends me an email requiring a status of all of my pending assignments and an action plan for how I'm going to complete them...due in 1 hour.......

There’s a coworker at my office who has a habit that’s been bothering me lately.
We used to be pretty close, but I eventually had to distance myself because every interaction seemed to come with drama, gossip, or negativity. We’re still polite and professional, but that’s where things stay now.
