@MikeSonko Sonko that's not the reason (insert Miguna's voice). The degazzetment has nothing to do with the security breach but it lies in someone's parcel of land. This one only require logical reasoning and bringing the senses into use. Just donate the parcel they construct a station

DEGAZETTEMENT OF CAPITAL HILL POLICE STATION. As a resident of Upper Hill, and pursuant to Articles 22, 23, 10, 247, and 258 of the Constitution of Kenya, I have instructed my lawyers to move to court with urgency to challenge and block the proposed degazettement of Capital Hill Police Station. We cannot and will not allow the security of Upper Hill to be compromised. Upper Hill is not just any location, it is a critical nerve center of our nation. It hosts key institutions including Milimani Law Courts, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), Nairobi Hospital, major banks such as Equity Bank Headquarters, KCB, Co-operative Bank, NCBA, and Gulf Bank, as well as leading insurance companies like Britam, CIC, UAP, Jubilee, AAR, SHA. It is also home to international hotels including Radisson Blu, Pan Afric, Silver Springs Mercure formerly Crown plaza; vital government offices such as the Teachers Service Commission, NTSA, the National Library, the National Lands Commission, the Ministry of Lands, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Water, and the Ministry of Health Headquarters; as well as embassies including the Japanese Embassy and the Tanzania Embassy (under construction). Upper Hill further hosts religious institutions such as Don Bosco Church, All Saints Cathedral, CITAM Valley Road, and the Upper Hill Mosque; schools including Loreto Convent Valley Road, Upper Hill School, and Upper Hill Nursery; and major landmarks such as Britam Tower, KCB Towers, Geo Maps Centre, 88 Iconic Building, NSSF and other commercial hubs. The area is also served by critical amenities including major petrol stations, hospitals, supermarkets, and funeral homes such as Lee Funeral Home, Montezuma Monalisa, Umash, and City Mortuary. Weakening security in such a strategic area is not just reckless—it is a grave risk to lives, critical institutions, and the economic stability of our country. Furthermore, Capital Hill Police Station holds crucial records, including OB No. 17/26/07/2025, which I rely on in my ongoing case (ACC No. 1 of 2020). The OCS, Chief Inspector Tuska Opondo, has already testified, more officers are expected to testify, and there is a real possibility that the court may need to visit the station physically. Additionally, there is another matter in which I am the complainant, reported vide OB No. 02/17/01/2026, currently under investigation at the same station. Any attempt to remove or weaken this vital security installation is a direct threat to justice, public safety, and the rule of law. We must stand firm. We must protect our people. We must defend our institutions. And we must do so at all costs.

Since he gave his life to Jesus and stopped taking akoho. Mike Sonko is now waking up at 3am every day to sing worship songs, pray, and read the bible. Other days he gets deep in the worship and starts crying and speaking in tongues. If Mike Sonko continues tht way he might start prophesying. All the best to him in his new journey of faith.Eloi!!

A$AP Rocky reportedly said yesterday that Rihanna has been encouraging him to focus less on work, claiming she has the financial ability to support him with a $1 million weekly allowance just so he can stay with her every day. He went on to praise Rihanna, calling her the best woman he has ever met, and also stated that Chris Brown doesn’t desêrve her.

@amerix Accurate observation, this is how Safaricom began to overtake. The sim cards for Sh 99 were introduced in a small black safaricom branded wallet. Reducing the airtime card that can be purchased also was a game changer then later Mpesa in 2007.

In 2002, I bought my Safaricom line. Ksh 2499. I still use it. It came in a metallic tin, with a booklet (a user manual), and a template for the SIM card. It was preset on the Taifa Tariff. Ksh 36 per minute billing during peak, and Ksh 27 per minute billing during off-peak. Per-minute billing means that even if you talk for 32 seconds, you will be charged the per-minute rate. At that time, KENCELL (later CELTEL, then ZAIN and now AIRTEL) was everyone's favourite carrier. Safaricom was struggling to attract subscribers due to KENCELL's awkward commercials that portrayed Safaricom's network as sluggish and chaotic. But, 2 months later, Safaricom reduced the price of its SIM cards to Ksh 99. I almost went mad after spending KSH 2499 just two months earlier. There were massive lines in Safaricom shops in Nairobi and Nakuru. Nakuru, Kenyatta Avenue, next to Merica Hotel, was impassable for 1 week. There was a Safaricom shop there, and later a Samchi Telecom shop. A lot of people had bought phones and kept them at home, especially Motorola T190 and Siemens C35, because they couldn't afford SIM cards or the cost of making calls. A Motorola T190 was selling at KSH 17,999. A Siemens C35 was selling at 11,499. Safaricom immediately began selling locked mobile phones that could be used only with Safaricom SIM cards. Later that year, Kibaki was overwhelmingly elected president, and his regime liberalised the telecommunications industry, and we began advancing in telecommunications technology. We have come from far!

I was at the motor park on this same day last year when I saw a small boy of about 8 years old sitting on the ground. He was not begging. He was just holding a dirty, torn paper and a pencil, trying to write 1 + 1 = 2. A woman selling food shouted at him to leave her front and even threw dirty water near his feet. The boy did not cry. He just moved quietly to sit under a leaking roof to continue his writing. My heart pained me. I went to give him money for food, but his eyes stopped me. He looked so hungry. I asked him why he was not in school. He told me his mother died the previous year and his uncle brought him to the city to go to school. But since he arrived, he only washes cars and sweeps while his uncle’s children go to school. He showed me his back and I saw a big wound from a hot iron his uncle’s wife used on him because a plate broke while he was washing it. He ran away three days ago and was sleeping in the park, hoping to find a bus to his village even though he has nobody there. I looked at my fine clothes and felt ashamed. I work as a secretary. I was on my way to work but I did not continue the journey. I held his hand and told him not to cry. I told him that from that day, he was not going back to that house and he was not going to the village. I have decided to adopt him as my own son. Today makes exactly a year he has been with me. He has a new school bag and a clean uniform. He eats good food and nobody will ever burn him again. I remembered going through the same treatment many years ago, when my aunt brought me to Lagos to send me to school but instead she turned me into her house girl and treated me like trash before God sent a good Samaritan my way who helped sponsor my education. Today, I am the same person feeding and paying fees for her children ever since she and her husband passed away in an accident. NB: I am not posting this to show off. I am sharing this to tell everyone to be kind to other people’s children. You don’t know who will help you tomorrow. No one knows tomorrow. 🙏🏾
