Bubonic plague still threatens communities around the world today. British and Madagascan scientists, backed by @FCDOGovUK and @Wellcometrust, have successfully trialled treatments that will save lives.

This week, we welcomed a delegation from @FCDOGovUK to review progress on joint health security investments and discuss priorities for the new Tackling Deadly Diseases in Africa Programme (TDDAP 2), focused on strengthening health security in Ghana and the region.

The delegation from @FCDOGovUK to @WHOGhana is in the North Tongu District. They are receiving updates on key achievements and best practices under the #LeavingNoOneBehind grant—funded by @FCDOGovUK to support the response to flooding caused by the Akosombo dam spillage.

Two of my students who are meant to be presenting @EDCTP forum in Paris tomorrow have still not received their visas despite submitting a month ago. They can present virtually but yet again miss out on important networking due to visa issues for African nationals. @TriageTB
