One predominant thought this afternoon as I watched Beaumont, Alberta’s Rachel Homan and her Ontario team’s come-fro0m-behind last rock win over Korea in World semi final — Women’s curling is now just as watchable as men’s curling!

@PodskeeWeeWee No. 2: My 8yr old daughter got stung by a bee while I was in a post practice scrum with @mb_coach. He stopped the interview because she was crying silently having been warned to stay quiet at all costs. @QuintonPorter5 got her a bag of ice & instantly became her favourite player.

I agree with this thread. While @CamGuthrie’s Copenhagen Adventure Funded by the Feds looked fun, and I’m sure there were some learnings, I was hoping to hear more about #Guelph issues. And why no questions afterward? @GuelphCycling

Travel for sports reporters is a big expense whose added value tends to be seen as minimal. I think the Grey Cup warrants an exception, especially for one of the best CFL journalists in the country, but I'm not calling the shots.

Murray did his job as the riders beat writer for a long time. I saw him ask tough questions and do his job with integrity. More importantly, Murray is a good person and will continue be one.

@sincy12 @mPinoe Covering the #CFL & #Ticats, Diversity is Strength & @YouCanPlayTeam felt real to me. Individual initiatives - @marwanhage Heroes, Setta's Kick for Kids, one-off visits to families or people in need of support made a real difference. I miss those stories.

I don't have much time for pro teams co-opting progressive and/or military service themes for their benefit. It's a marketing ploy in most cases. But as the father of trans kid & someone who thinks @sincy12 & @mPinoe rule, this matters. Equality matters: espn.com/soccer/story/4…
