We've decided to watch The Simpsons from the start, up to the last DVD I own (S8). And as a fun little project, as we go I'm going to one-line review them, and keep an ongoing ranking.

Trading Places, Groundhog Day and Spinal Tap are films I've had fixed annual dates with for at least a decade. I know I've watched King of Kong at least twice a year in that time too. To say nothing of films relentlessly consumed repeatedly in childhood!

There are people in the replies to this who can't imagine watching a film five times, whereas I think five is a pretty low bar.

@sebpatrick @Ciaran_23 @dhorizon Random fact - first time I ever heard of Hellblazer was on a uni night out in the Krazyhouse, I ran into Damo Bundred for the first time in some years, he ended up giving out to me at length about how the new Constantine movie was nothing like the comic (which I'd never read).

Did not expect an actual DC Comic published in which it turns out John Constantine went to Merchant Taylors as a kid.

@RazerWolf @Ciaran_23 @dhorizon Aha, all dimly familiar names, yes! (I mean in Chris' case in part because his dad had been my teacher, but also he was THE biggest programming nerd, as I recall)

@sebpatrick @Ciaran_23 @dhorizon Strong possibility, though I don't recognise the handle. If anyone remembers me it'd have been as Gareth Woods, I used to habitually haunt the computer room along with Chris Blower and Chris Banks etc.
