🚀 My Biggest eBay Month Ever $10,046.68 Paid Out 🔥 I first dabbled in buying returns beginning of February… had my first child at the end of February… and really started to focus on this toward the end of March.  Zero experience. No mentor. Just learning as I went.   Four months later… eBay just paid me over $10,000 in one month.   This journey has been absolutely amazing. I’ve learned everything on the fly, met some incredibly kind people in the reseller community, and built real momentum while being a new dad. The gratitude I feel right now is immense.   If you’re a new reseller, thinking about starting, or grinding right now, drop your biggest win this year or your current struggle. Let’s lift each other up. If there is any way I can help or answer questions feel free to drop them below. This post was made to show you if an everyday guy like me can do this. You can too! Less scrolling more doing.

@avivafashion11 @tablerockadv Possibly be charged a fee if you come late and missed your appointment. How about we get paid if we are still in the waiting room an hour past our appointment time? Would that change their behavior?

Can someone please explain this to me?? The doctor’s office will send 17 reminders, 4 emails, 3 texts, and a carrier pigeon reminding you to arrive 15 minutes early for your scheduled appointment. You fill out every form online in advance and dutifully arrive 15 minutes early to check. Receptionist: “Have a seat.” 45 minutes later, you’re finally called back. 🫩 Why are only one of us expected to keep the appointment time?!

@EverydayResell I promote if the math makes sense. I promote the majority of my inventory. Just took eBay seriously just recently so still have a lot to learn. I do 11% across the board, will watch closely if worth spending that much.

New strategy: • 0-2% on my strongest/cheapest items • 2-3% only on new listings & items sitting >30 days • Focus on listing quality over ads Saved hundreds and revenue climbed. Who else has tested cutting way back on promotion? Would love to hear about it below! #eBay #eBaySellers #Reselling #SideHustle #eBayTips

16 Week Recap Days 1-112 Total sales: $41,731.10
Buy cost: $7,032.71
eBay earnings: $22,766.72
Net profit: $15,734.01
ROI: 223% 460+ items sold. 112 days ago I started tracking this journey. Since then: • $41,731.10 in sales
• $15,734.01 in net profit
• 460+ items sold The biggest lesson so far? My model isn't about finding one massive flip. It's about making hundreds of good decisions. Some items arrive broken.
Some are missing parts.
Some get refunded.
Some get canceled. That's part of buying returns and open box inventory. The goal isn't perfection. The goal is buying well enough that the wins outweigh the losses over time. Looking back, the biggest improvement hasn't been sales. It's buying discipline. Lower cost of goods.
Better inventory selection.
Fewer mistakes.
More consistency. The strong days are showing up more often, and the weak days don't hurt nearly as much as they used to. Still learning.
Still adapting.
Still building.

As a 25 year plastic broker, I get involved in some crazy deals. Commissions are a normal activity of what I do. Usually a flat fee or a percentage of the deal for referrals. I’ve paid people commission Received commission Sometimes received commission on both the buy and the sell end These deals could go on for years. Some brokers only operate like this so they dont have to actually take possession of the material, or worry about shipping expenses and collecting invoicces from the end user. These commission deals are only done with my "trusted" network. It took me years to build a network of trusted players in my industry. This business also breeds crooks. The highlight of this activity personally was about 10 years ago when I was receiving $25,000/month for almost a year. This was unusual, but I have some deals like this that make thousands of dollars in commission every month. It's just one more way that I'm showing you how to leave your W2 handcuffs behind. Start building your trusted network today. I can show you how. Follow me and search my past posts if you want W2 freedom and own your time on this earth. #weregonnafindout

JDP Weekly Update #5 🔥 Starting to get REALLY excited about where things are heading. The last week has felt like a turning point. Had 2 people reach out this week just to thank me for advice I gave them, which honestly feels incredibly rewarding. Cool reminder that sharing what you’re learning actually matters. Yesterday I onboarded another beta tester for the reseller app (and finally got the whole thing recorded 👀), so there should be some cool content coming from that soon. On the reselling side: Started this morning with 2 rug sales for just under $100. Nothing crazy, but honestly I’m happy to move some of the smaller rugs and free up garage space 😆 The bigger news: I’m hoping to buy my next pallet this week... and this time we may be testing a NEW category 👀 Truck update: Finalizing paperwork on the 16ft box truck sale right now. If all goes smoothly, hoping funds hit by Wednesday. Between: • the app getting close • beta testers coming in from X • brand awareness slowly growing • new inventory moves coming JDP feels like it’s entering a really exciting phase. Still building. Still learning. Still figuring it out. But man... this is fun.

Haha that’s exactly the kind of workflow I built this to replace 😂 Right now I’m rolling it out in a small beta with a handful of resellers so I can get real feedback before opening it up wider. If you’re serious, I’d be happy to get you early access and walk you through it. What kind of inventory are you selling these days?

Ever get the same product in 5 different colors and then completely lose track of what’s what? 😆 Built this into the reseller app for that exact reason. Same item number Different color variants Each gets its own code on the label Small feature. Real reseller headache solved.

For many sellers, Facebook Marketplace is frustrating. Lots of - “Is this available?” “What’s your lowest price?” But I started looking at it differently. Marketplace is a numbers game. If I know I sell 1 item for about every 10 responses, then every message is simply moving me closer to a sale. Most sellers get annoyed by the questions. I see progress. Because behind those 9 tire kickers is usually 1 real buyer ready to show up with cash.

I’m a senior software engineer making good money — fully remote for 7 years. I train a team of 20 overseas engineers and know I could be replaced by one of them tomorrow. So I built a side business that now does $9k/month revenue ($4-6k profit). Here’s what happened

Sunday morning update. I received 36 messages in 18 hours on my all inclusive FB Marketplace listing. I also boosted the listing spending $6/day for the next 3 days. Due to the amount of inquiries, instead of setting up appointments as I originally planned, I’m setting designated hours this week on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and telling people it’s first come first serve. This is when I am available. I’m not responding with that message to all inquiries. I’m creating a sense of urgency on purpose to sell all of my inventory this week. I’ll update as the week goes on to let you know if this is working. Always adapt, always adjust, always be creative when selling. #reseller
Larry Welnowski Jr.@plasticboss

I just deleted 46 FB Marketplace listings because they got "old" By got old, I mean, I kept renewing the listings and "deleting and relisting" them. The interaction kept dropping. Dropping to the point of almost no messages. This will happen. You need to be creative and try something different. So I'm doing that. I'm posting ONE listing. ONE listing with all of my inventory. Streamlined prices. Rugs priced by size. Other inventory consolidated. Asking people to message me to come shopping. Heard this idea on the @ShannonJean podcast with @melanieannhiatt and I'm running with it. If you aren't adopting you are dying. Stay tuned to see how it goes #reseller

🚨 April numbers are in… $8,067.27 in order earnings, my biggest month reselling yet. Only 3 months into this. No mentor, no guidance… just figuring it out on the fly. Sourcing deals, late night listings, answering messages, packing boxes, and learning as I go. Still smiling at the dashboard 😂 If you’re just starting or grinding with no blueprint, this is your sign. Keep shipping, keep tweaking. It adds up. I’m happy to help anyone who has any questions about reselling just shoot me a DM. April 1-30, 2026. Screenshot proof attached. What’s your biggest resale month so far? Drop it below!

Made my first rug delivery today! 🔥 I originally told myself I wouldn’t do deliveries unless the order was $200+ Ended up selling $300 worth of rugs from just two 8x10s. Honestly really happy with the progress so far. I also set a goal that I would sell at least 2 rugs a day, and both yesterday and today we hit it. Going to keep grinding hard. Excited to see what this weekend holds. 🫡👍

Stop losing money to eBay return scammers. They buy your clean working item, then ship back a broken piece of junk & demand a full refund. I just learned this $7.49 trick and it’s a game changer: Grab a cheap UV security pen (the exact one I use is in the photo) Before you ship, write a unique personal code or mark in a hidden spot. Invisible to the eye, but lights up under any blacklight. When the return arrives, shine the light. No matching mark? That’s not your original item. Upload the before/after UV photos in your eBay case and watch your win rate skyrocket. Pro tip: Make the code unique, your own handwriting style, a random symbol only you make, something scammers can’t duplicate even if they know the method Resellers: if you sell on eBay, add this TODAY. It will dramatically boost your chances of winning disputes. Let me know in the comments if you’re adding this to your process!

@EverydayResell One. I went to ChatGPT and asked it to scan my local Marketplace and find better shoe flips with $20+ margins. It pulled it. I went to the facebook marketplace to find the recommended shoe. I found it on Wednesday and resold it on eBay on Saturday. What a world!!.

@donnyyoung That is so true especially if you just started. I had to learn not to just lower prices because it just happened to be a slow day. I did that on my rugs. Lesson learned.

Got about $2,000 in profit sitting in this storage unit… and honestly, it’s barely moving right now. I don’t think it’s bad inventory. I think it’s just bad timing. Kids furniture in the spring isn’t exactly flying off the shelf. A few months ago I probably would’ve panicked and dropped prices just to move it. Trying not to do that this time. Instead, I made sure I had enough margin and cash to go buy again… so I’ve got 2 pallets of exercise equipment coming Monday. Hoping for around $1K profit there. Still figuring this out as I go, but one thing I’m learning: Not everything that sits is a mistake. Sometimes you just have to wait your turn. - Follow me @donnyyoung if you want to learn how I’m building a reselling business in the margins of my 9-5.
