Y’all I want to share a HUGE win with y’all. I just finished my first TikTok Live and I’m happy to say I did $730 in sales in less than two hours. The craziest part? This was with an account that had 0 followers!! And guess what I sold? Even crazier… my leftover rugs. 😵‍💫 Yep, you heard that right! This was a clip from the live. Safe to say… I’ll definitely be going live again. 🚀

I've only done a handful of live streams so far, but messages like these make every late night worth it. One person asked when my next show was. Another said they already can't wait to come back after their first snack box. I'm still learning, still improving, but knowing people enjoyed the experience enough to return is an incredible feeling. This is bigger than just selling snacks.

Yesterday I had three choices: • Watch Argentina 🇦🇷 in the World Cup. • Watch Conor McGregor return after five years to fight Max Holloway. • Or walk into my garage, hit "Go Live," and keep building my business. I chose the garage. Yesterday was my fifth TikTok Live. I streamed for a little over three hours before my phone died because I forgot to plug it in. The show was just getting started. I sold 32 items and did just over $1,100 in sales. What meant the most wasn't the numbers. It was seeing returning buyers volunteer to moderate the chat and watching everyone jokingly outbid and tease each other. It felt more like a community than a sales show. As a dad of three and a lead engineer trying to build a business outside my 9-to-5, consistency isn't always easy. But yesterday reminded me of something Every time I choose to invest in my future instead of the easier option, I'm getting one step closer to the life I want for my family. I'm still a complete beginner with a long way to go, but this felt like a big win. Thank you, I really appreciate that! I actually started pretty small, just buying a few items I thought I could resell and learning as I went. There were definitely some mistakes along the way. 😂 A few people have asked about how I got started, so I may put together a post walking through my first purchases and what I’d do differently now.

Most people who know me know I'm not shy. I love meeting people. But going live on social media? That was never my thing. I got into reselling last October. A few months later, I watched @kip_roland selling food live and knew I had to try it. Even then, it took me six months to finally hit the "Go Live" button. Yesterday was my third live show. I almost didn't do it. I canceled two scheduled streams before finally going live around 9 p.m. The result? About $400 GMV in 90 minutes with almost no followers and very little experience. It won't impress the big live sellers, but it was a huge win for me. The hardest part wasn't selling. It was the voice in my head asking, — "What will people from my tech career think?" Then I remembered what @resellerrowe told me in Nashville: "Shams, it's all in your head. Nobody's watching you." The lesson? Show up consistently. Embrace the awkwardness. Relax. Have fun. Connect with people. Whether this business becomes huge or not, I'll know I gave it everything I had instead of spending the rest of my life wondering, What if?

Well… I guess I don’t have to worry about garage space anymore. 😂 I ran my third LIVE for the AC pallet tonight and sold out in less than two hours. I only put out about 2/3 of the inventory because, honestly, I wasn’t even sure the $1 starts were going to work. They did. I ended up doing just over $1,100 in sales, which after shipping should cover my entire investment in the pallet. Everything left is upside. To some people those margins probably won’t seem very exciting. To me, every pallet is tuition. I’m learning how to run better lives, how to fulfill orders, how to package awkward items, and how to build something that hopefully gets a little better every week. It's stressful, but I honestly I’m loving it! 😋

One of the best pieces of reselling advice I’ve heard came from @ShannonJean on the Reseller Mastermind: “If you want to start reselling, go ask your spouse what they want out of the house.” 😂 It’s funny… but it’s true. Most people think they need thousands of dollars in inventory to get started. You probably already have your first inventory sitting in a closet, garage, or spare room collecting dust. That’s exactly what happened to me. I sold my Oakley Meta glasses that I wasn’t using anymore. I found a lawn mower someone put on the curb, cleaned it up, and flipped it for $150. Opportunity is everywhere if you start looking for it. Sometimes the best inventory isn’t something you buy… It’s something you already own.
