A viral video shows President Ruto own convoy stuck in the mud on the way to Mandera — the same Mandera he promised a 750km tarmac road to.
“Itoke Mandera, iteremke Modogashe…” — but first, itoke hapa kwenye matope.

@Ademba_47 The greatest problem in KE has never been leaders but the voters
English

Kenyans need to understand the worth of the voter's card and service delivery.
Another way that MCAs, MPs… win is by importing/buying voters.
This man has been actively facilitating this process for someone else in Westlands.
He brings women from other wards and constituencies to transfer their voters to Westlands then gives them 200 bob.
He then writes down their names, ID and contact information in the book he is carrying.
When we were at Westlands, I confronted him about it and he quickly left but the list was almost 600. The women said mimi ni fala na niwache kuwahoji.
Some of these women are first-time voters.
Some come from Kibra, Dagoreti and the constituencies around that area.
When the leaders of the areas they reside in don’t deliver, are they in a position to complain?
Ama hata bursaries wataendea Westlands?
What of real Westlands residents? Watakosa services because they were given to other constituents?

Why do you all act surprised?
This is what these Kalasingas have been doing since Mumias Sugar's death.
They import industrial sugar, store it in their warehouses, such as Webuye, package it, and then sell it to you.
There is not enough sugarcane supply to meet demand locally.
Sugarcane farming has drastically dropped by 40%.
These private Kalasinga sugar factories don't have enough farmers' pool to supply sugarcane for crushing, production and supply. They rely on importing cheap, toxic industrial sugar to repackage.
But the bottom line is this:
STOP consuming sugar.
Sugar is harmful to your health.
It leads to chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension and cancer.

Here is a letter signed by JB @HonJBMuturi authorising the G-To-G thing that now he pretends he has had no knowledge about. Khabusie!

Justin Muturi: When I was in government, the G-to-G proposed deal was brought to me by advisers. I asked if it's indeed G-to-G: on one side we have the Saudi government...but on the other side, I asked who is government? Why are we not using Kenya Pipeline or National Oil?

STATEMENT ON THE FUEL PRICE HIKE IN KENYA
Kenyans have once again been hit with a painful fuel price increase, pushing petrol and diesel beyond KES 200 per litre in major towns. This is not just a number it is a direct attack on the cost of living.
While the government blames global oil prices and international conflicts, the truth is that poor policy decisions, excessive taxation, and lack of proper planning have made the situation worse.
Let us state the facts:
• Taxes and levies still form a significant portion of every litre of fuel Kenyans buy. Even with minor VAT adjustments, the government continues to overburden citizens.
• Kenya lacks adequate strategic fuel reserves, leaving the country exposed to global shocks. This is a failure of long-term energy planning.
• The Petroleum Development Levy, which was meant to cushion Kenyans, has been inconsistently managed and repeatedly strained.
• There have been serious allegations of mismanagement and irregular procurement in the energy sector, raising concerns about transparency and accountability.
Fuel affects everything transport, food prices, electricity, and basic goods. When fuel crosses KES 200, the cost of living rises across the board. The ordinary Kenyan the mama mboga, the boda boda rider, the farmer pays the price.
This regime cannot continue hiding behind international excuses while failing to implement serious structural reforms at home.
As the opposition, we demand:
1.Immediate review and reduction of fuel-related taxes and levies.
2.Full transparency on fuel procurement and use of stabilization funds.
3.A long-term national energy security strategy to shield Kenyans from recurring shocks.
4.Accountability for any official found responsible for mismanagement or exploitation.
Leadership is tested in difficult times. This government has failed that test.
Kenyans deserve relief. Kenyans deserve honesty. Kenyans deserve better.

political rhetoric in Kenya is not ideological; it is purely operational. When outside the executive, the political elite expose state capture to weaponize populist anger. Once in power, they inherit, protect, and expand the exact same extraction machinery, adopting the very smokescreens they once mocked.
