I played Shadowrun 1e & 2e, but I still picked up source books from the other editions time to time.

@silverlock Wife hated Shadowrun and wouldn’t play (for whatever reason) so I got rid of my stuff, not anticipating my affection for Shadowrun would outlive her affection for me…

Today is Shadowrun source books. I spent years through 1E and 2E in Seattle.

@SandyofCthulhu Heh, Fantastic Planet. My dad took me to it when it came out thinking it was a cartoon and I like scifi. We did not stay to the end.

Oh, and the two games I picked up were cheap. Star Dark was $19.99 HB (or $12.99 soft) Arkham dark was $24.99 HB (or $14.99 soft)

The second Shadowdark based game I found is Arkham Dark. Its cover is more in line with other Shadowdark games I have seen. It is a Cthulhu themed game. It takes a little bit of a twist from SD on that is that it has many character (profession) types. To make that all characters are humans and in a modern game, there are different professions. It has 18 professions. The game also has a sanity mechanic based on your characters Wisdom score.

Ok, I had mail call yesterday. I was looking around for Shadowdark stuff and I found two games based on the shadow dark license. One I have not decided what I feel about yet. That is Star Dark. All of the “art” inside is AI. It says that in the inside cover. I was interested is something scifi. This is almost straight up a starwars knockoff. Shadowdark has an elegant layout that every character type is two pages with a short talent lists. This one mostly has 4 pages per character type.
