I've just had a look on Alan's X feed. @AlanPaceBFC Nothing since October. It speaks volumes. Nothing positive to post about maybe? Alan I can never boo my players, manager or club and yesterday disappointed me in that respect. I've been a sports coach in athletics and anxiety and pressure are huge reasons for under-performance so it certainly doesn't help. But fans are human. They react to what they see and feel. It's the first time I have been in the ground when many fans have called for the manager's head and I'm 61 and seen us play at all levels since the early 70s. It could have happened before, just I wasn't there. I admire loyalty. You stuck with Kompany to the end of the Prem season, but look how that worked out. This season is working out worse. I like Scott. He's a decent and honorable man. But you have to act. You have to act or this will be building with every home game to the end of the season. And as for the video clip on the BBC? At a time when fans displaying a mixture of emotions from anger to disappointment, how did you think it would play for them to be compared to stroppy toddlers? All it will do is fuel anger and frustration. It might even deflect attention from Scott to the board. There are a few things at play here. 1. Maybe Scott isn't up to Prem level? This is his 3rd attempt. But also 2. Some of our Summer signings haven't worked out. They might have looked good on data analytics, but Broja, Tchaouna, Hartman, Florentino between them are huge investments for a club like Burnley. It's not just that they haven't worked out, they don't look like they will. 3. Some of our older signings haven't worked out either. Foster as good a lad as he might be doesn't score. Worrall as good a bloke as he is, has played hardly any minutes in two years yet we have a defence this year that leaks goals and keep putting Lauren in at the back. Tresor - there's nothing to say is there really. And then some of the other investments for the future like Sonne, Banal, Agyei, Ramsey, Massengo (or Massengone!), Koleosho, Hountondji and we still have Obafemi on the books. Our transfer policy appears messy with few successes and that hasn't helped Scott. 4. Our academy. The last player that made it was Dwight McNeil. Ironically we gave Bobby Thomas away and he'll maybe be playing in the Prem with Coventry next year. Our two best academy prospects are Bauress and McDermott who up to XMas were irregular players at Div 2 level. Where is that conveyor belt bring through a youngster every couple of seasons, who is at least capable of playing at Championship level? To try and be positive, Steve still looks quality but I fear we'll lose him this summer. Pires has come on a lot and Humphreys looks a player. Big Les in midfield again look to have potential, but will he stay? Weiss has the makings of a decent keeper. Hannibal is clearly quality, possibly our best player if only he can sort the mental side of his game out. Assuming we go down< a starting line up of Weiss, Sonne, Humphreys, Esteve, Pires, Big Les, Cullen, Hannibal. Anthony, Edwards, Flemming could so some serious damage. Next year in the Championship, could be another positive one, but then it could be another rebuild, the 4th major one in 5 summers, if we lose a few of those players. As a fanbase, we will also again have a year where we can't sing "he's one of our own" which was for the then 35 year old JayRod, unless McNeil ends up back with us (and I'm not pitching for that). I see my club as a gritty, determined club more attached to the local community than almost any other English club. I'm accepting that we will go up and down. But I'm struggling with the lack of direction as I see it. We have a confused and messy transfer structure. It doesn't seem to assess pace. I don't believe we have a forward player that can break 12 seconds for 100m. I've seen 13/14 year olds do that. Sprinting top speed should be a huge indicator for attacking players at Prem level; consider what we saw with the two West Ham goals yesterday. We seem to over invest in wide players who we then don't play a system that utilises them effectively. The fan base is mixed age group. I'm surrounded by good folk, many who go back to the days of Jimmy Adamson and Bob Lord. They have seen what it is like in the dark times. They aren't stroppy toddlers Alan and it's time to step up and show some leadership, perhaps starting with a public apology.

@matt_scrafton MLS coach of the year probably wouldn’t be able to survive managing a conference north team, the levels are so polarising

@PhilBirdBFC Keepers get 8/9 seconds to release the ball, which wasn’t that bad to begin with but taking 60 seconds longer than needed to take a throw in is fine, there’s just no consistency in the efforts of setting the rules it’s like a group of 5 year olds came up with them

@PhilBirdBFC Not sure why it should be categorised any differently to time wasting, it’s just taking longer to do something just like a goalkeeper with a goal kick etc, there so many holes in the time wasting clear up strategy 1/2

Got to say, I thought the referee was good tonight. Easy game to manage, perhaps. Could have added more time on in the first half and there could have been a yellow for the challenge on Hannibal.

In the 25 years that I’ve sat in the Stretford End, I’ve never experienced anything like this. “Is that Patrick Dorgu, or is it Mainoo, they all look the same” I heard behind me. Next, I hear “Dalot you spastic” I gave him a look of disgust…. “Ginger” he shouts. “Only joking, he wants to fuck you” he shouts (how lucky am I 😂” I tell him to fuck off. He pulls my friends hat off, calls her a midget, “get back in the kitchen” and “sit in the south stand if you don’t want banter”, (she is crying at this point). I have been coming to United for 25 years, I’ve never experienced anything like these coked up, misogynistic, racist, pathetic boys. Happy to share the video 👍🏽

@DXBurnley @TurfCastPodcast The rumour mill gets worse and worse every season, there’s so many news outlets / journalists on twitter than have money / interests in the movement of money in betting markets knowing that the general public will gullably place a bet on the next manager, based of a rumour

This season has genuinely destroyed my enjoyment of football, I didn’t mind losing in the league under dyche, cause we were organised and didn’t beat ourselves every fucking week. #twitterclarets #nonaynever #utc #burnley

@engburutc82 cover when going forward, tend to always see the LB/RB moving up at the same time, and not really pivoting into a back 3 when one flank is advanced. Can't fault his effort and trying to be positive in games, can see he's constantly frustrated with lack of movement

@engburutc82 Don't post often, but I think he's been one of our better players this year, playing out of position, been pivotal in driving the ball forward, tries to not play back when un-necessary, the only negatives are sometimes the final ball aint the best and the system doesn't allow 1/2
