Somaliland is a fully independent nation with its own government, national ID cards, passports, and democratic system for over 30 years. Somaliland passports are accepted and used for travel and visas by the US, UK, and many other countries. Please add the Republic of Somaliland as a supported country in the X identity verification system so our citizens can verify accounts with dignity and participate fully. Do you know what President Hassan Sheikh is trying to do in Somalia? After 57 years, he wants the Somali people to go directly to the polls and elect their members of parliament and president, cutting off foreign financial manipulation and allowing the people to make their true choice. Although all the federal states in Somalia claim that they are secure, they are unwilling to support this. This is because they prefer to select themselves through a fait accompli, in a warlord-style manner. If all states in Somalia are truly secure, then presidential, parliamentary, and all regional elections should be conducted on a one-person, one-vote basis.
Somalia has enough problems to take care of without thinking about Somaliland. The only transaction between Somaliland and Somalia will be the demand for reparations if and when Somalia stands on its feet. And that's a big if.

Almost feel sorry for the haters who are trying to spin Muslims voting for a woman in a party led by a gay Jewish man is evidence of Islamist sectarianism 😂 In fact it’s evidence of genuine tolerance, rejection of superficial identity politics and ability to prioritise tackling common concerns of cost of living, protecting public services and rejecting war mongering.
