In June 2025 on 4chan, an anonymous poster dropped what he called 'the script' — a full timeline predicting the next phase of global events. He warned of Israel breaking ceasefires and striking Iran, Trump responding aggressively with bunker busters, Iran hitting all Gulf oil fields and U.S. bases, oil prices skyrocketing, failed invasions, U.S. civil war, tactical nukes, then a staged fake alien invasion using synthetic soldiers released by MJ12. By 2027 — 5 billion dead and a one world government. The war's early phases are unfolding eerily close to the script: Israel struck Iran after fragile truces collapsed, Trump unleashed bunker-busters on hardened sites, Iran retaliated by hitting Gulf oil fields and U.S. bases, oil prices exploded, and the U.S. surged carriers into theater (two active now—Lincoln and Ford—with a third, Bush, on the verge of joining). Coincidence or did an anon really leak the playbook?

@ID_AA_Carmack kinda curious, why do you think this sentiment is so different between the software world and the visual arts world? it feels like a lot of software engineers agree with your take, but it's definitely not the same with artists. I guess because we benefit more from modern AI?

I know there is some overlap between open source and anti-AI activists, but I have a hard time reconciling it. My million+ open source LOC were always intended as a gift to the world. Yes, I would make arguments about how it would strengthen our communities, and the GPL would prevent outright exploitation by our competitors, but those were to allay fears of my partners to allow me to make the gift.
AI training on the code magnifies the value of the gift. I am enthusiastic about it!
Some people do look at open source as a tool for social change, career advancement, or reputation building, but those are all downstream of the gift.

Another important fact about the “Minab school fatalities” list: • 19 of the 26 listed school-age girls appear in the archived school birthday directory. • Only 2 of the 25 boys do. This is yet another strong indication that the list is either partially fabricated or includes deaths unrelated to the school strike.
