Our beautiful princess has passed away after her short battle with cancer. We are devastated and our lives shattered. She lived as long and strong as she did, due to her unbelievable strength and also the amazing support from @GreatOrmondSt. She will be forever loved and missed.

I would be so grateful for any advice regarding setting up a charity in memory of Jess. To date, we have raised more than 30K but I feel the money has gone to big charities & it has been a mere drop in the ocean. I wonder if setting up a charitable trust is the way forward?

@4myJessBrady specific funding campaign and so ultimately has a bigger impact. We do this for our shit version of cancer - rhabdomyosarcoma - but I’m sure the principle will work just the same. This might feel like too much and does need someone like Sarah to take on the charity set - but it

@4myJessBrady The charity is set up with multiple ‘Arcs’ of which my daughters Jess is one. This means that the ‘Arcs’ raise money in honour of their lost child but that all the money flows through one charity. One set of administration costs but means that your £30k becomes part of a bigger

@4myJessBrady importantly how to actually make a difference. As you say £30k requires an awful lot of effort but ultimately has a limited long term impact on achieving the aims we have for other parents. @AlicesArc driven by Sarah Wakeling has offered one solution albeit for a specific cancer.

Can’t believe it is 3 years since we lost Jess. The support we’ve had, including from @HolyRood, has been a lifeline for our family. Laying flowers at & tidying up the grave of your child is where no parent should spend their day. Every day is a tough but these days are tougher x
