@NextonAlex @jompogo Because pokemon go players seem to have a habit of thinking the company is out to get them when they just got bad RNG for a weekend. You spent the money. Other people did significantly better and those people aren’t saying these secretly made the odds 1/20

@jompogo @simonleafs Well my man, if you’re happy with them saying that eggs have increased odds, and you then go and do an event and hatch 150 without a single shiny, and believe that isn’t gaslighting- that’s cool.

@simonleafs @jompogo Well, you say that my friend and all I’ll add is this. If they’re not secretly making the odds worse as you put it, then why not share it with the community publicly? The odds that have been quoted in this thread, haven’t come from Niantic. So I understand player thinking that.

@NextonAlex @jompogo That’s how RNG works dude!!!!!! Sometimes you get 5 shinies in 64 eggs and sometimes you get none in 200. You signed up for this by putting money into a game thats rng based.

@jompogo @simonleafs Make the community worse? I flew to an in person event with “increased shiny odds” and after hatching 10k eggs over two days - got nothing. Am I’m not entitled to share how I feel about that? Also, it makes sense.

@jompogo @NextonAlex 1/512 in the wild, legendaries 1/20, eggs and raid pokemon 1/64, go fest type events either 1/64 or 1/128. That never changes. Niantic isn’t fooling us, sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don’t

@jompogo @NextonAlex Majority of pokemon go players are convinced that niantic secretly makes the odds worse sometimes when in reality that’s just how RNG works!! If you spend tons of money on eggs you should know that you shouldn’t expect to get a shiny every single time.
