I'm going to recommend to you another Steele prize winner in mathematical exposition (2023), one that will be useful to mathematicians, physicist and engineers, the masterpiece 'Partial Differential Equation' by Lawrence Evans (AMS). The book is split in 3 parts (representation formulas for solutions, theory for linear/non-linear partial differential equations.) it covers the basics, but also explores concepts like Sobolev space, second order elliptic equations and much more.

Although many physics concepts are routinely misused in the popular press and in social sciences (uncertainty relation, entropy, entanglement, many-worlds, relativity, multiverse...) the top position surely goes to Goedel incompleteness theorem whose massive abuse is breathtaking
