Republicans created the bill as their response to Hillary's healthcare plan in the late 90s, as an adaptation of their HEART bill from the early 90's. Romney then expanded it with "Romneycare" in '06, and his bill became the ACA.

Last week I randomly got a $9,000 bill for a hospital visit from last year. I called them up and they said my insurance decided not to cover it. Why? Because. .@Aetna can just decide they’re not interested in covering something and then you’re left with an inflated bill to pay out of pocket after the fact. This is in addition to a $2,000 bill that I already paid. They just don’t want to cover it despite me paying a monthly premium. Meanwhile illegals get free healthcare. Honestly fuck you @Aetna. I’m gonna do everything I can to destroy you.

@jimfornyc It probably won't. The demand is going to so far outstrip the possible supply. That's what's happened elsewhere in the country. Normal grocery stores handle 10-15,000 consumers per month. Bet these new stores will have 8-12x the demand. No single store can do the job of eight.

The Question isn't whether it had an effect but rather if its what killed him. We used to have a standard in this nation of beyond reasonable doubt and with Derek Chauvin there is reasonable doubt on what killed George Floyd. Does George die without the drugs in his system? Probably not. What we do know is the Maximal restraint technique is safe to use on people for long periods of time, its been tested. 99.9% of people put in that hold for 10 minutes are fine.
