संविधानको धारा १७ ले प्रत्याभूत गरेको शान्तिपूर्वक भेला हुने र संगठित हुने अधिकार कुनै शासकको निगाह होइन, यो त लोकतन्त्रको प्राणवायु हो। आफ्ना समर्थकको भीडलाई मात्रै 'जनता' देख्ने र बाँकी नागरिकलाई 'शत्रु' ठान्ने अहंकारले बालेनलाई अन्ततः उही असफल राजनीतिको खाडलमा पुर्याउने निश्चित छ। हिजोका दलहरूले आफ्ना मान्छे पोसे भनेर आज नयाँले पनि आफ्नै "गुट" खडा गर्ने र वैयक्तिक स्वतन्त्रतालाई कुल्चिने हो भने, यो परिवर्तन नभएर केवल पात्रको फेरबदल मात्र ठहरिनेछ।
चरम सौन्दर्यवादको मोहमा परेका हाम्रा प्रधानमन्त्रीज्युलाई विकास भनेको भौतिक निर्माण मात्र हो भन्ने लागेको हो वा भीडलाई यही मनपर्छ भनेर 'Perform ' गरिरहनुभएको हो, त्यो प्रष्ट छैन। तर, यदि भीडलाई पनि तिनका झिल्के प्रधानमन्त्रीले गरेका र लेखेका सबै कुरा सही लाग्छन् भने, कृपया माफ गर्नु होला, सुन्दा नराम्रो लाग्ला, तपाईंहरू १७ औं/१८ औं शताब्दीको दासयुगको मानसिकताबाट बाहिर निस्कन सक्नुभएको छैन।
सच्चा लोकतन्त्र नागरिकले निर्धक्क भएर आफ्नो हक र अधिकारका लागि संगठित हुन पाउने स्वतन्त्रता र राज्यले उनीहरूको अस्तित्वलाई सम्मान गर्ने उदारतामा झल्किनुपर्छ।
