I have been doing cattle for more than 20 years. The main considerations include:
1. Calving rate (and it is possible to achieve over 75% calving rates). We buy the best bulls and we give them very productive cows.
2. Pen feeding cycles for steers and unproductive cows. 60 day cycles are quite attainable with good feed.
3. Rate of conversion of grass to protein. We have consistently out performed a weight gain of 1kg per day.
4. Cost of feed. We make our own feed. We make silage from natural grasses, cultivated grasses and crops. This helps us reduce the cost of feed significantly.
5. Low mortality rates. We hire the most capable veterinary doctors. We vaccinate our cattle and deep them regularly.
6. TNLT will be subjected to independent audit annually.
7. The listed tokens will only be a fraction of our total herd.
8. I will ask our financial experts to conduct a further review of the coupon prior to listing.
9. I must now thank you for properly raising your concerns and I apologize for having been rude to you.

IDC has funded @KMF Agro Processing, a black-owned integrated meat enterprise based in Lichtenburg. Founded by Dr Obakeng Mfikwe, KMF is driving growth across the red‑meat value chain, as a fully integrated business with a feedlot, abattoir, and processing plant.#IDCFunding

Brahman and Boran are poor feedlot performers. In fact, and Bos indicus type of breed struggles in the feedlot. They put on fat too quickly, not enough mass, slow average daily gains and very poor slaughter percentages.. those are all your key profit makers

💰🐂 WHEN FATTENING, THE GOAL IS SIMPLE: PROFIT, SPEED, RELIABILITY. That’s exactly why the Brahman × Boran cross is winning in serious feedlots.

@EmmanuelMarume5 Composite breeds are the best in the feedlot, this where the Brahman comes in. It’s the king of hybrids,
Braford, Simbra, Brangus, Beefmaster, and then your other breeds such as Bonsmara, Angus, Simmentaler etc

Shamva grass (Rottboellia cochinchinensis) Barahanga or Vave, is one of the most problematic weeds in Zimbabwe. Some of the characteristics that makes it a problem in arable lands are that it has a wide adaptability, aggressive growth habit and it is highly competitive. Save your maize crop from this troublesome weed with either #NATTO260OD, #HEYDONSTAR500WP, or #NICOSULFURON45WDG. All available at #CPCHEMICALS. Visit us today!

The details about Dangote's ventures are largely accurate based on multiple sources (e.g., Business Insider, Reuters, YouTube analyses). He did attempt telecom, textiles, airlines, and tomato processing, which faced failures or shutdowns. Flour mills were sold (to Olam for ~$361M in 2019 after earlier buyback from Tiger Brands for $1). Cement, sugar, and refinery succeeded. Minor variances in timelines exist.
English

Aliko Dangote started a telecommunication company and failed.
He also started a textile company and failed terribly.
He started a Dangote Airlines and failed a few months later.
He then started a tomato sauce factory that also failed after a few months of operation.
Aliko Dangote this time started Dangote Millers which he failed to maintain and ended up selling it to South African company for $200m before buying it back at half the price he sold it.
This time Dangote started Dangote cement which became his first successful business. Sugar business followed and so did oil refinery.
Failing doesn't mean you won't succeed, it means you're learning.

@Tatenda_Agro This is nice for motivation, but the numbers are fantasy.
• $350 weaners? Where?
• 5 months of feed for $150 per beast?
• Guaranteed 350kg gains?
Real farmers know pen fattening is not this magical. Let’s be honest with people who want to start livestock businesses.

@Tatenda_Agro The trick to this game is growing your own maize period! You need to keep your feed costs under $200. Vet costs are negligible here. 350kg snapcorn, 350 kg maize bran, 250 kg mashanga & 50kg Mabiko k. If you grow your own maize then this formula can keep it under $200.

@MatopeNigell In fact.. many agriprojects are loss making. You need numbers to make a profit on maize production, on cabbages, on tomatoes on broilers

ZAMBIA has begun beef exports to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The initial beef shipment, valued at US$62,635, is part of Zambia's goal to reach US$1 billion in beef exports by 2030, with Angola and DRC as key markets.
Livestock farmers will earn US$4.5 per kilogramme, half of the US$9 per kilogramme value chain price.
The first shipment to the DRC is scheduled for today, President Hakainde Hichilema revealed at the official opening of the Southern Province Investment Forum and Exposition yesterday.

Today, many of us are inspired by what we see on social media. We look at successful farmers and immediately want to be where they are. But what we often forget is that every success story had its own timeline, challenges and limited resources at the beginning.
If your farm business doesn’t have the same financial strength, it might take longer and that’s okay. Your time will come, and one day you will be the one inspiring others.
For now, focus on working wisely with the resources you have. Avoid unnecessary debts just to chase rapid expansion. Growth built on pressure and loans can ruin a good dream.

Start small if you have limited resources, but start at a level that makes economic sense. When you start too small, you will spend money but earn nothing. When you start economically small, you can produce, sell and cover your costs.
