Middle School Young Scholars continue to explore chemical engineering, today exploring the processes behind the formation of boba in one of their rotations! @FCPSAdvAcad @MrsSmithFCPS
@mathillustrated Two big pieces- first-know how each concept connects with the rest of your curriculum. Where can you naturally reinforce/give students the opportunity to practice concepts from earlier in the year. Second- building in opportunities for distributed practice and feedback for that.
How do you honor the fact that most of your #math#students will need time and multiple experiences with concepts and procedures in order to develop a measure of mastery? (and how do our #education systems work against this?) #ITeachMath
@nc_teach@Desmos Figured out that if I assign the same activity to the class it only shows up once and then I can see the teacher dashboard...a temporary workaround ?
@desmos a teacher has added me as a co-teacher in her Desmos class. I can see the class and students but I can't see activities she has assigned. What am I missing?
@anniek_p@JennSWhite@GotMathHelp Personally I feel like it’s a “need”, especially if you need to see your meet/zoom at the same time as your presentation and/or something to monitor student work like peardeck or Desmos
@JennSWhite@GotMathHelp What would y’all say is the amount of “worth it” for a separate monitor. I hadn’t considered it, but we’re going to be all virtual. Is it worth looking into knowing I’d have to buy myself?
@GotMathHelp@Desmos Class codes are generated in chronological order. That is the only way to know assuming the first one you made is used for 1st period, etc. I can DM you later with more info on hacks as I am in my car. Will do if no one beats me to it.
Hey #MTBoS what platforms allow you to record with a picture of you in the lesson talking?
I really like @educreations but I don’t think that’s possible...
Don’t think @Screencastify, @jamboard, nor recording using the iPad settings record feature.
