Do you have comments enabled on your blog? We disabled comments on the Beaver Builder blog a while back because a lot of the discussion around our posts was happening in a Facebook group or on Twitter. We noticed Facebook's algorithm isn't surfacing group content nearly as aggressively as it used to, and lots of people in the WordPress space are gravitating towards Twitter alternatives like Mastodon. We decided to enable comments again to help foster discussion amongst our community, but we limit comments to the first 14 days on new posts - this helps a bit with spam issues. What's your approach? #blogging #WordPress

@robfitz @circleapp Happy to see this. Personal sites have so many conversions (contact, subscribe, purchase) that you have to 'lead visitors to.' In your case, those outcomes are just....there, part of the fabric. You're a customer as soon as you load the site. Kudos :)

The best time to teach something is when it’s fresh and exciting to you, before it feels like common sense and you forget what wasn’t obvious. I wanted to eventually write a book on building info products for example, but I think I’ve waited too long now to really get it right.

@metafizzyco Your caching and state vids are invaluable to me. I wouldn't hesitate to pay you $100+ for anything you put out along those lines (ebook, vid series). It'd be nice to still be able to transact with you without you needing to support it. You're too bright to do client work.

Real talk: I am putting Metafizzy on hiatus for the foreseeable future. Since the pandemic hit plus my 2nd kid being born, I haven't had the availability to manage the side-business.

Thinking of taking some of the static HTML page examples in Tailwind UI and building them out as fully componentized demos with Next.js and including those demo projects on the site for customers to download and learn from. Seem interesting/useful? 🤔

@joshuadenney @brennandunn @ThriveThemes Using BB with SoulSections is my approach (well, I built SoulSections for BB for this kind of thing). SoulSections presets come with thoughtful spacing defaults for consistency, but you can switch them (and BB's spacing defaults) off and build your own blank-slate presets.

My biggest issue with @ThriveThemes Architect: I use a lot of utility CSS classes, and defaulting of colors, margins, ... make it REALLY hard to get anything done without being redundant. WP Pros: any tips? Or suggestions for a less opinionated way of visually building pages?
