It feels really weird that women weren't allowed to ref men's rugby until recently.

@jhgr81 @thepaulwilliams Not allowed I believe - a friend was only ever able to do up to championship. Wherever we went there was always someone she’d reffed and shouts of “hello sir” and free beers.

@thepaulwilliams Was it not allowed? Or just few female refs? Tbf judging by the standards of the refs in the women's RWC Hollie is one of maybe 2 or 3 that are of the requisite standard. It was a great tournament but some really poor officiating at times.

Now that the outline of the Nations Championship has been revealed, doing some market research… Why do England fans traditionally not travel in numbers for summer Tests? 🏉 Fixtures don’t appeal? ✈️ Too far away? ☀️ Wrong time of year (hot at home)? 🏏 Cricket season?!

Tbh as brilliant as Fin Smith is, it’s pretty disappointing not to see Marcus get a go at the 10 jersey, especially with another fly-half on his way out there. He’s 100x better as a 10 than a fullback, just feels like a bit of a waste not to try him there

@FromLe2 Also piss taking of people who can’t spare the cash is so low, even if tickets are £20…not all rugby fans are rich and have to prioritise. It’s outright snobbery and one of the main things that holds rugby back. Having spare cash doesn’t make you a “better” supporter

The piss-taking of Bristol for not seeking our their allocation is a reason why rugby is on a road to its own ruin. Bristol have great fans but the ticket prices from Bath are way too high to justify. Instead of taking the piss, let’s stand together to demand cheaper tickets.
