Not to mention that the term is also used by anti-AI types and you know they’re not using it based on your definition

If "autocomplete" can do math better than you, write code better than you, forecast the future better than you, and persuade swing voters better than you, then calling it "autocomplete" starts sounding like defensive cope

What’s currently cooking the brains of every smart AI booster is the idea that if LLMs autocomplete good enough, then that magically becomes something different in kind. But there’s no evidence for this. It’s just breathlessly asserted over and over again on the basis of thought experiments.

BTW, I had to do some research to see where you can find souffle pancakes in the Bay nowadays and apparently they’ll be opening a Gram location in Mountain View soon. It’s a Japanese cafe known for their soufflé pancakes so idk if that counts as “replicating”—I t’s more like a transplant if anything

It’s probably a good thing for it to be conservative about burning through tokens. We know that the big "Massive Epidemic of Vaccine Injury" claims made today are false, definitively.
If they were correct, we would see higher mortality in the largest EHRs (>300m people) for the vaccinated than the unvaccinated, but we do not.
In fact, we see the opposite!
