We have never been a validator on Osmosis, and had no part in the v9 Nitrogen upgrade, including any development of code. In 72 hours, we will be closing this account.

95% of funds returned; remaining 5% will be sent today. Tx hashes are in this thread. Utilizing the LP bug was done using the public user interface of app.osmosis.zone/pools. No unauthorized access to systems was used. Our team member learned of the LP bug from Reddit.

Want to say huge thank you to the @stake_fire team for being the first exploiters to come forward on their own accord and cooperate to return funds to the Osmosis community. I believe their action inspired further exploiters to pursue the similar line of action.

@gadikian @ConsensusOne All of our mainnet nodes should be unbonded and in the inactive set. All testnet nodes will be deleted as well.

@stake_fire @ConsensusOne @jcdmacleod @JoeAbbey What I think should happen — and what docs say should happen is that your node should be jailed and you get removed from consensus and the active set.

@stake_fire @ConsensusOne @jcdmacleod On evmos I see you’ve got .5 self bonded still can you try to remove that please? I am relatively sure that I saw @JoeAbbey successfully do this before— but not even certain on this point Also checked in the sdk and this a tested code path (unless issue is tests)

@ConsensusOne @gadikian @jcdmacleod We're able to make ourselves inactive by removing our self stake and our stakes from our individual wallets, but on some chains it isn't enough to get us inactive.

@stake_fire This should work. @gadikian and @jcdmacleod are in discussions on this issue.

Our understanding was that removing out self stake below the min required would put us inactive. It appears that isn't happening. Is anybody familiar with this?

We have been removing our self stake on our Sifchain, Provenance, and Evmos nodes, but for some reason it doesn't seem to throw us into inactive. Will continue to do the others. mintscan.io/evmos/validato…

@notionaldao @sunnya97 We've begun the transfer of funds. We are moving them back at @sunnya97's directions ASAP. ALL our mainnet nodes will begin unbonding around 2100 UTC today. We deleted our testnet nodes. We will exit Cosmos completely.

Lots of responses coming in and all of them are understandable. To be clear, we proactively reached out to @sunnya97 before his update this morning. He sent it to us FIRST before sending it out. This is not a response to his message. This is us working together.

Notional still believes that @stake_fire team committed a terrible wrong - this is undoubtably the case. But they do appear to be committed to returning all stolen funds and removing all self stake from their nodes. This is the right move.

@jurimaibaum @frensvalidator Our priority is returning funds ASAP, shutting down ALL of our operations ASAP, and leaving the Cosmos ecosystem completely.
