The Allan family is everything right about golf. Steve played Mondays for years and years after he lost status. His kids always on the bag in the summer. Traveling by car as a fam, chasing Mondays. It’s awesome to see them have deserved success.

Last year I tweeted that if Tag Ridings got status he would play well. Some of the responses were bookmarked and screenshots were made. I'm going to save them for when he wins. But he just Monday Q’d himself to a runner-up today. Career grinder, great to See him play well.

Why I love Lauren Coughlin’s success and why I think it’s vital to the women’s game: Lauren is a grinder. It took her six years as a pro to really find her footing on the lpga tour, eight to get her first win (a few weeks to get her second) There just aren’t many grinders in the women’s game because the money isn’t there for players outside of the top echelon of the LPGA. Basically if you don’t make it in the first few years in the women’s game you stop playing. It’s harder to raise money to keep going. But Lauren (there have been others, she is just the most reason example) confirms that for most the pro game is a process. Mens or women’s. And players that don’t make it in the first few years can still develop into some of the world’s top players. It’s why the increase in @EpsonTour purses and the development of the @WomenAllProTour are so important to the future of the women’s game. Although not talked about a ton, to me the Epson Tour and mini-tour development on the women’s side will have a profound effect on the future of the game and will allow more Lauren’s in the future.

Eight holes into her second round @LCisHOOSgolfin was +2 and 7 off the cut line. All she did was birdie 7 of the next 10, then sweated out the cut watch falling in and out of the cut before finally making it. Shot 69 yesterday and 64 today and finish in the top 10.

Anybody's tournament this afternoon... I like the pounce position of Will Zalatoris. +2.95 APP in round 1, we know. In the cold/wind, he lost -1.95 Final 9 holes of round 3, +1.98 He also gained in putting rounds 2 & 3. This afternoon is ripe for him to torch again.
