@wackyseester Wow! I had never considered the possibility despite seeing The Electric Horseman's costume in a museum as a kid.

Next bullshit propaganda hurricane is here. Don't fall for it. The tools are much smoother and faster than 6 years ago. (Though this post is transparent.) You will be surprised by how many will push it and how many will swallow it.

🚨🚨🚨 A CRISIS BIGGER THAN COVID IS COMING. THE INTERNATIONAL ENERGY AGENCY JUST PUBLISHED THE DOCUMENT THAT PROVES IT. 🚨🚨🚨 Remember COVID lockdowns? "Two weeks to flatten the curve." No driving. No leaving home. No life. That was a warm-up. On March 20, 2026, the IEA published "Sheltering from Oil Shocks." It is the COVID lockdown playbook — but for your car, your job, your movement. And this time, there is no vaccine to end it. Here are the 10 things they want governments to DO TO YOU: 💀 Work from home — cut your right to move for work. Forever if possible. 💀 Lower speed limits by 10+ km/h on ALL highways — your commute, slower, forever. 💀 Shift to public transport — private cars are the enemy. 💀 Increase carpooling — share your space or don't drive. 💀 Car-free Sundays — the government owns one day of your movement per week. 💀 Alternating license plate restrictions — odd number? You don't drive today. 💀 Cut 40% of business flights globally — your career, their decision. 💀 Switch to electric cooking — your kitchen, their mandate. Here is the logic trap: Trump launched the war. → The war closed the Strait of Hormuz. → The oil crisis hit. → IEA releases the lockdown plan. → Governments implement it. → Your freedom is gone. → Trump promised lower energy prices. → His own Energy Secretary says "no guarantees." → The agency Trump called "radical" and threatened to quit is now running your life. The plan is live. The governments are watching. Some will implement it "voluntarily" within weeks. Prepare accordingly. 🚨🚨🚨

My buddy just bought this and took me on ride…he was driving like Steve McQueen through the streets of Knoxville listening to DMB..all I could think was “Lord, please don’t let me die and the last song I ever hear is “What Would You Say”..

A thrilling day for me at the Ray Bradbury Center in Indianapolis. Bradbury is a most important literary influence in my life-- and I got to sit in Ray Bradbury's writing chair...

I know there's immense sadness about CBS News Radio and it is an American media institution, but I feel the need to ask the uncomfortable question: When was the last time anyone listened to CBS News Radio in their car?

I put in an application to adopt this bundle of energy today. I met her and she is perfect and adorable, although she's only six months old. I cried all the way home, thinking I was betraying my sweet Sadie, who's been gone for nearly five months now. Maybe this little one (if I get her) will fill my heart with joy instead of the constant sorrow I feel.

Just received a couple pics the day before she left me. Jumped in one of the vols cars wanting a ride. Refusing to get out so she could go home. Lord I miss her. She always insisted on riding shotgun. 👍

Am I the only one here who thinks that The Wild Party is not so bad? I wouldn't defend it with my life (that's an At Long Last Love prerogative), but I find it rather fascinating.

I want to tell you it gets easier but I’m not sure I can. I lost my soul dog traumatically last July due to vet negligence. She bled out in my arms. I haven’t even been able to talk about it publicly yet. This is the first time. I still miss her as much as the day she left. All of the daily details that would trigger me constantly have lessened greatly but her total absence still haunts me and always will. People say to get a new dog but I’m not sure I could allow myself to go through this much pain again. Indy was a dumped dog that found me and she was the best dog I will ever know. My thought and prayers are with you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I'm so sorry. After our cat passed in November, we put almost everything away immediately. I've never been without a cat but pet ownership is unaffordable in California. I still avoid setting dangerous things down on a surface the cat could access. I worry about the presence of plastic that could be chewed. Love to you as these grieving thoughts keep popping into your head.

@wackyseester Great idea. "Analog" is trendy right now but as internet addiction progresses, real life art experiences should be cultivated. We need that balance. We need to respect our humanity.

The Kennedy Center is the big leagues to me. I was attending the civic center and an old Fox theater. My grandpa started attending opera at twelve. He said "to see the swells." He was poor and was allowed in because his sister was employed as a dancer. He always dressed impeccably. In the early 2000s, the ladies in furs and the gentlemen in bow ties vanished. We're losing the ability to make moments special. Dress up (I had to buy a communion dress and white mary janes because my mall had no formal clothes). Run the parking structure stairs in excitement. Eat a communal lunch before a matinee (kids) or dinner after (family). And, enjoy conversations with strangers on the same adventure.

My piano teacher regularly arranged for her families to attend concerts at the Kennedy Center because teachers could book blocks of tickets at tremendous discounts. The concert was incredible, but the other thing distilled from the experience was respect. As a child seeing all these very different people coming together, taking pains with their appearance and giving the subject matter their respectful attention for three hours clear enjoyment - that’s a lesson that should be frequently repeated in the lives of children. We used to access it via many avenues: house of worship, community events, school gatherings. Relaxing standards has cheapened it (Wear whatever! Shorts are okay!) and when things get cheap, they stop being important. I suspect Mr Gresham didn’t know his idea would apply so aptly to society at large.
