You open X and see the same memecoin everywhere. Green candles, profit screenshots, people shouting “THIS IS GOING TO $1B.” The chart is already up +120% or even more. And suddenly the thought appears: “What if I miss it?” That moment has a name: FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out). And in memecoins it can be one of the most expensive emotions a trader experiences. FOMO makes people buy green candles, not because they researched the project or understand the community, but simply because the chart is moving. And when thousands of traders feel the same urgency at the same time, that’s often exactly when the market is closest to a correction. So they buy the top. The chart pulls back. And the emotion changes: FOMO → Fear → Regret. But here’s something important many traders forget. Not every pump is already over. Some memecoins grow massively even after the first wave. The difference is how you enter. Experienced traders don’t chase green candles. They research the project, watch the community and wait for the correction. In memecoins patience often gives a much better entry than speed. Missing the first move is not the problem. Entering blindly is.
