In ‘09 my story “Rider” won the Montana Prize in Fiction judged by the great Joy Williams. Recently someone reminded me of the commentary she asked to be published w/ it. This was 5 years before my first book, a collection that opens with “Rider.” Continue the writer must 👊

So much fun launching my friend @theandrewkclark 's debut novel from @CowboyJamboree , WHERE DARK THINGS GROW, into the world tonight.

This little guy fell down our chimney and really wanted AJ to be his mama! He kept climbing up her leg and arm. Unfortunately we have three big dogs that wanted to make him a tasty meal. In the end he went up the tree in the front yard — hopefully he reunites with his mama!
