So... it finally happened!
After 1 year of learning to code and 2 rounds of #100DaysOfCode, this week I'm officially onboarding for a job as a C#/.NET Technical Writer😭💜
That means I'll be getting PAID to code and learn new things, I'm so happy!

Pretty busy day, trying to get out of this mental funk I'm in. I did rank up to 6kyu in CodeWars so that feels good! I'm enjoying the repetition of the CW challenges and seeing other peoples answers at the end.

Brains been in a funk the past few days. Trying to keep the #JavaScript going with some Codewars at least. My daughter also turns 11 months today :)

First off, thank you to everyone for the 900 follows! I really appreciate it and I learn so much from this community. Today was a busy day so I mostly hit up @Codewars throughout the day, getting close to ranking up to 6kyu!

Completed lessons on:
-Introduction to Prototypes
-Introduction to Object Oriented Programming
Did a couple Codewars challenges. I've always had a little trouble with looping over arrays but managed to complete a challenge doing it on my first try!

State of tech Twitter
A person made an honest mistake - posts JavaScript concepts, but calls them CSS.
Can happen to anyone, no biggie.
But the responses - some of the biggest accounts don't point that out, but mindlessly comment "great share" just to boost their numbers.
How are they different from bots? Or maybe they are actually botting?
Usually I censor those types of posts, because I don't want to bring heat to some small accounts.
But this time we're dealing with leaders of this space who influence thousands of people.
They need to be called out for their fake engagement boosting.

@tbrowningdev @codewars How are you liking codewars so far? I love some of those problems that come with a little storyline 😂

Long weekend! Got in some 7kyu challenges on @codewars done today. Tomorrow back to the Colt Steele course with Prototypes, Classes, and OOP.

About to spend the weekend in Florida so I'm knocking out some codewars challenges before we leave. I actually ranked up to 7kyu but I guess I was still doing 8kyu challenges. Oops! 😅

Day 45 of #100DaysOfCode
Finally a cat-related challenge! 🥹😸
Today I worked on a project that was about finding new homes for abandoned pets, using a two-dimensional array to track the pet data🐈
I was trying to visualize the array, so I asked ChatGPT to turn it into a table. Personally, I felt that helped quite a bit😄

@csturner88 @codewars Thanks! It's really fun, I regret waiting so long to try it out.

@tbrowningdev @codewars Nice code! I’m a codewars fan too 🙂

More @codewars! I actually ranked up today so that was nice. I'll probably continue just doing codewars challenges through the weekend as I'll be traveling.
Special thanks to TJ Hockenson for getting me a lot of #FantasyFootball points tonight.

Did more @codewars today. I think I'm about to rank up soon. It's been nice going over the easier stuff to help me recall some of the earlier #JavaScript I learned but my favorite feature is seeing everyone else's answers at the end!

English

@tbrowningdev @codewars Yes! The Anakin episode awaits. Gonna watch it too! Are you working on JavaScript?

I finally started doing some @codewars challenges! Still working through 8kyu, so far it's been fun! I can see why these challenge sites are so popular, looking forward to getting better! And looking forward to #Ahsoka tonight!

@tbrowningdev @wydmanski_ Glad you had a nice chat! I highly recommend getting into doing coffee chats with people - then you'll be able to talk about coding, or whatever you want. Also make some friends along the way 😄

Big shoutout to @wydmanski_ for the mentor chat today. Adrian is a breath of fresh air on X and I appreciate his realistic approach on the industry. I came out of the meeting feeling refreshed, more focused, and less overwhelmed.
