You can now find almost every OSINT tool in one place. Someone compiled a massive repository of tools for penetration testing and information gathering. It’s basically a god mode for information gathering. tracking, digging, analyzing.. it is all here. 100% free to use.

1/ I've built a free open-source intelligence dashboard tracking every coordinated inauthentic behaviour (CIB) operation Meta has disclosed since 2018. 214 operations. 53 origin countries. $22.7M in ad spend. 71 reports analysed. Thread on what it does: cibdashboard.netlify.app

Back in 2023, when Dutch media reported the arrest of a terrorism suspect allegedly affiliated with Hamas, almost nothing was public. The only real starting point was his first and last name. That was enough to begin. Using ShadowDragon Horizon and publicly available information, I mapped out a much broader picture around one of the main suspects: his Hamas-affiliated network, connections, businesses, fundraising-related activity, and locations where he was seen with other known Hamas-linked individuals. What stood out then was not just the person, but the surrounding ecosystem. Parts of this case and network in this video: youtube.com/watch?v=JNmvgq… And this Dutch article adds important context around the wider network and environment: keesbroer.nl/terrorisme/mij… Now, in 2026, the broader significance of that network has become even clearer. German authorities convicted four men, including the suspect I mapped out back in 2023, in a terrorism case tied to Hamas weapons caches: ctvnews.ca/world/article/… For me, this is exactly why #OSINT matters. Not because it predicts the future. But because it helps uncover the structure behind a name, a headline, or an arrest long before the full picture is visible in court reporting. Sometimes all you get is a name. And sometimes, that is enough to reveal a network. #OSINT #ShadowDragon #Horizon #NetworkAnalysis #OpenSourceIntelligence #ThreatAnalysis #Investigations #Hamas @ShadowDragonIO

Is the Online Safety Act 2023, together with the National Security Act 2023, an "adequate control mechanism to require the taking down of hostile state content"? I think the observation, further down in today's Rycroft Report on foreign interference in UK politics, is more accurate albeit understated: "sorting out hostile state content from the ordinary run of online commentary is no easy task". That is true, and welcome realism.

I am growing increasingly concerned about this threat vector. To his credit, Lucas has been banging this drum for some time now. Policymakers and Western intelligence officials need to pay much closer attention and devote more resources to countering this threat.

Iran is putting Yemen’s Houthis in a difficult spot by publicly calling on them to take a bigger role in the war. That pressure creates tension inside the Axis of Resistance, especially since the Houthis do not seem eager to get more directly involved. It is not clear that this kind of public pressure, or public shaming, will work. The Houthis may simply keep their distance and avoid being pulled in. That may be the smarter move. If they stay out of the war, they could emerge in a stronger position and with more leverage in any future peace talks. But if they step in more directly, the risks are obvious. What is happening in Iran and southern Lebanon already shows the cost of deeper involvement. At this point, it almost feels like the Houthis have put their phones on silent, or maybe changed their numbers altogether. Iran keeps calling, and the response seems to be, “The number you have dialed is temporarily out of order, no longer in service, or has been disconnected.”

A persistent challenge within public counterterrorism efforts is the imbalance between communication and operational impact. Many initiatives appear to prioritise visibility and public messaging over measurable effectiveness. Ideally, operational outcomes should take precedence, with communication supporting—not driving—strategy.

The Structured Analytical Technique (SAT) in intelligence assessment called Analysis of Competing Hypotheses (ACH) is useful for attribution analysis. All the more powerful when you use AI to do this at scale.

Great post from Aaron about the Jevons paradox and AI adoption. At Tech Against Terrorism we're supercharging our OSINT and engineering roadmap using AI and putting quite a lot of this to test right now as we investigate HAYI. Excited to make a few announcements around the corner...
Aaron Levie@levie

Jevons paradox is happening in real time. Companies, especially outside of tech, are realizing that they can now afford to take on software projects that they wouldn’t have been able to tackle before because now AI lets them do so. We’re going to start to use software for all new things in the economy because it’s incrementally cheaper to produce. Marketing teams at big companies will have engineers helping to automate workflows. Engineers in life sciences and healthcare will automate research. Small businesses will hire engineers for the first to build better digital experiences. And as long as AI agents still require a human who understands what to prompt, how to review when an agent goes off the rails, how it guide back, how to maintain the system that was built, how to fix the ongoing bugs, and more, we will still have humans managing these agents. This is why all the advice you get of not going into engineering is wrong. The world is going to increasingly be made up of software, and the people that understand it best will be in a strong economic position. This will happen in other roles as well where output goes up and demand increases.

We are following the emergence of Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya (HAYI) very closely. They are probably the first AI-led terrorist movement but whoever is behind them is no match for AI-powered content and metadata analysis. We'll be sharing our forensic analysis soon.
