I borrowed #PoetryPrompts All Sorts of Ways to Start a Poem by Joseph Coelho. I know it is a gem I can return to again & again when writing. It is a perfect resource for children & writers of all ages, & it is ideal for when the poetry submission windows are open. #TuesReviews

One of my favourite things I did with my class was 30-45 minutes a week of Current Affairs. No plan, no agenda, just ask children what they’d seen in the news. As time went on, they shared things they’d seen, or fun facts. Hard in a packed timetable, but it was very valuable.
