"Anyone with any degree of mental toughness ought to be able to exist without the things they like most for a few months at least."
On Georgia O'Keeffe's birthday, her hard-earned wisdom on art, life, and setting priorities, written in a letter to her best friend while living alone in the desert in the middle of a world war themarginalian.org/2014/09/17/geo…

Find 500! Have a load of numbers, cover them and conjugate verbs to reveal the number under the coordinate. Whole class or pairs with an empty grid and students write their own numbers! mfltwitterati #mflinsta #mflteacher #french #spanish #verbs #conjugaison #grammar

Absolutely. And it means that children who didn't have very exciting summer holidays won't be struggling to find the things they did do. I put it up here as a blog post a while back based on an idea from @PieCorbett brian-moses.blogspot.com/2021/09/this-s…

I borrowed #PoetryPrompts All Sorts of Ways to Start a Poem by Joseph Coelho.
I know it is a gem I can return to again & again when writing.
It is a perfect resource for children & writers of all ages, & it is ideal for when the poetry submission windows are open.

Attie Lime 🍓🎄@AttieLime
Every Tuesday I post a #TuesReviews reminder, purely as a nudge to us all to leave a review for books we enjoy (wherever you usually leave your reviews). A few people have let me know it's helped, but is it worth me carrying on? It does make ME do it, if nobody else 😂

@spsmith45 Have you got any or do you know of any books on target language acquisition / reflective practice aimed at more experienced teachers?

“Until I thought of myself as the sea I used to separate good days from bad until I thought of myself as an ocean.
I used to slice times
I felt strong from when I felt weak until I imagined myself as the sea.
Calm and rocky, wild and soft, still and powerful and vast and more than any one thing.
In the ocean, it’s hard to divorce one mood from another, one wave from the next.
Now, on my worst days I think how good life is too, how I still can greet joy while swimming through grief.
How fragile strength sometimes feels.
How I’m not any one thing in any one moment on any one day.
I’m all of it and all of it is me.”

Daily poetry prompt: Where would you like to be?
I want to be.....
with somersaulting angels in the park,
with a bottle of ink flying free,
with soldiers marching in the skies....
