@Kene_ilo @smart_duke @vingeophysicist @Admiral_Cyborg Him signing it is because he’s the president and he’s the heard of the executive branch of the government in charge of SOE, FG isn’t guaranteeing shit , do you even know what loan guarantee means? You’re just saying rubbish confidently

@theAmazingKVLR @smart_duke @vingeophysicist @Admiral_Cyborg Since the loan is coming from UK institution(s), it is the normal procedure to have a local institution or middleman between the borrower & the lender. But Nigeria's FG is the ultimate guarantor. Otherwise, thiefnubu wouldn't be there signing loan docs on behalf of Nigeria.

How do you collect over $700 million in loans for one single state, not to be shared by any other state then when the other states sell oil, they'll use it to pay back the loan they didn't enjoy a dime from? Omo, the next time we say that state is a No Man's Land, them no born you well to open mouth talk.

@graciousT2323 @SamuelJimoh17 @Joe_brendan_ So you’re comparing this to the complex engineering used for the construction and procurement of a power plant, transmission infrastructure and so on? Do you know the kind of mathematics, chemistry and physics that goes into those things? You think it’s like arranging bricks?

I caught these kids doing this without supervision. No one was there. They are mixing the cement themselves. Someone thought them the right amount of cement and sand to use. These kids are not up to 14. It wouldn’t take decades to fix our energy issues. You do not know the kind of population we have. We only need visionary leadership.

On this electricity issue in Nigeria, I will be realistic again. Nigeria will not see steady power in at least 10 years. normally should be at least 15 years It is unfixable under a decade. Even Albert Einstein with the execution of Elon Musk will not do it under 10 years. Its a harsh truth Don't argue this with your emotions and ideal plans, argue with data. if you don't even know where NBET stands in the chain, you cannot make an argument here, pass. So is solar the solution for Nigeria? YES Is solar realistic for mass adoption? NO. Because of cost. The solution to this may be - The govt. removing any charge, tax, levy, etc on anything relating to panels and batteries. - Startups launching solar farms and buyback businesses - Govt. funding battery and storage research that will lead to low cost in that regard - One day national flogging of all Nepa officials with koboko and swearing for them if need be If you understand the energy industry in Nigeria, you will know that Nepa or whatever you know them as now, is not giving you steady supply for a lonnnnnnnngggg time
Moe@Mochievous

Nigeria has a lot of sunlight. You are literally burning cash if you don’t have solar set up at least as a backup system (mine is my primary sys) For my solar set up in my house, I had to grudgingly do it but once I did, my only question to myself was why i didn’t do it earlier.

@theAmazingKVLR @smart_duke @vingeophysicist @Admiral_Cyborg But the loans for these huge infrastructural developments in Lagos are signed for & guaranteed by the FG. Which other guarantee would any bank need? In any case, first things first. The other regional ports should be granted a full operational concession. Let's start from there.

@theAmazingKVLR @SamuelJimoh17 @Joe_brendan_ Projects of this scale require adherent professionals. You have to prep your employees if they are home groomed. That’s where transferring of knowledge comes in. Even if your experts leave ? Your population has that knowledge and can replicate.

@Kene_ilo @smart_duke @vingeophysicist @Admiral_Cyborg Banks will never loan their money to something that’s not guaranteed, maybe their state government should focus on attracting trades and investment to the regions that will also take advantage of the ports there, then banks will be able to give huge credit facilities to them also

@theAmazingKVLR @smart_duke @vingeophysicist @Admiral_Cyborg Again, I'm well aware of this! I'm simply saying that other regions that have ports should also taste these huge FG investments. If their ports become fully operational (like those of Lagos), the NPA could then generate funds from there also, just like the NPA is doing in Lagos.

@theAmazingKVLR @DoyinJack @vingeophysicist @smart_duke @Admiral_Cyborg So u knew all along that without the FG's full concession, the Onne port is just one white elephant project? Why then were u arguing like someone who is not in the know? Ur usual deceitful nature at play? In any case, don't be mad when people boldly call that Lagos no-man's land.

No you just have limitations that you are projecting. China made sure all foreign companies operated with local companies, transferring knowledge. This is how it’s done. I never said 6 weeks, rather I said 6 weeks training before employment. With lots of universities, with prospects.

@graciousT2323 @SamuelJimoh17 @Joe_brendan_ China, hardly uneducated? You must be drunk. Even all their leadership, 80% are engineers. A majority bulk of their citizens studied stems one way or the other , thats why most of not all of their infra are built by their own citizens instead of importing brains

@Kene_ilo @smart_duke @vingeophysicist @Admiral_Cyborg Npa can’t remit it generated fund by will to whatever it wants, according to the constitution after all expenditure the remaining funds must be remitted to the federation account which is then distributed to every states and LG

@theAmazingKVLR @smart_duke @vingeophysicist @Admiral_Cyborg Bla bla bla, we know all this. You aren't telling us something we didn't already know. Our point is simply that other regions should also be touched. The NPA can remit its generated funds from its operations in the other regions. Why must it always be from Lagos? Who u wan fool?

@theAmazingKVLR @vingeophysicist @smart_duke @Admiral_Cyborg "Asset financing" or not, let the other regions also have a taste of these huge FG infrastructural investments. The "asset financing" should then be done from the other regions. Why must it always be Lagos? Tomorrow, you'll be the first to start shouting "go back to your region".

@SamuelJimoh17 @graciousT2323 @Joe_brendan_ It’s called being realistic, no matter how much will a president has Nigeria power sector is rotten to its core, it’ll take decades to fix . You people don’t seem to understand the backlogs, infrastructure deficit and capital constraints that exist
