@AdamMeakins @Myprotein I've still got 3kg of MypRATein left. I'm loathed to throw it away as its so expensive. But it does make me feel a bit sick to think what's possibly mixed in with the powder 🐁 🤮

@AdamMeakins Good on you for continuing the fight Adam. I won't lie, I was looking forward to seeing the Kraken released but not at the expense of your registration. I find it very strange that you would have to admit to the accusations to deregister. Surely we can all deregister whenever

Right then… I’ve changed my mind! After a few days of letting the dust settle and careful contemplation I have decided NOT to voluntarily deregister and deregulate myself from the physiotherapy profession! Instead am going to defend myself against some malicious and vexatious accusations of misconduct and unprofessionalism outlined here for a number of reasons! hcpts-uk.org/hearings/heari… The first reason is that to deregister myself from the profession I have been told that I have to admit to all these accusations which I am NOT prepared to do! The next reason is that after 5 long years of living and dealing with this laborious and frustrating process to ‘throw the towel in’ now just because some others have recently jumped onto the accusation bandwagon doesn’t make sense, even if this means this process will now likely continue on for another few more years… so be it! Another reason I want to continue with this process is that I want to highlight how the HCPCs Fitness to Practice processes which are designed to protect the public from genuine shysters and charlatans, have been hijacked and weaponised by those with grudges to enforce their own vendettas onto those they disagree with or dislike! And finally, I am fighting these accusations because I don’t want any other physio in the future to feel they can’t robustly question, challenge, or criticise anyone on social media without the threat of being investigated by the HCPC! I also don’t want any physio to feel they can’t be their genuine, authentic selves on social media who may swear a bit for humour, or to express some human emotion now and then without the threat of being called unprofessional and having their clinical competence questioned. So in summary… I’m here to stay and to defend my reputation and freedom of expression from those desperate to take it away from me just because they don’t like me for disagreeing or criticising them in the past! I may succeed, I may fail but at least I will have NOT quit! So to all those watching this situation closely, sit back and settle in for a long fight… I hope you’ve got the stamina for it! 😝

Thinking a little more about how we can support students. Would experienced clinicians be interested in offering some time to talk to students when clinics are quieter? We could connect people together and share our knowledge and experiences.

Has anyone else watched Game Changers with their other half and been told that, “we’re cutting down on meat”? I can’t help but feel it’s only telling one half of the story and in quite a biased way. #cherrypickingtosupportcherryeating

Foam rolling can be used as a tool to temporarily reduce muscle soreness, but there are many myths and misconceptions regarding its effects. Here is an interesting post from The Sports Physio outlining some current evidence regarding its effects.... facebook.com/story.php?stor…

I agree 100% Recieving treatments such as massage, manual therapy, myofascial release and acupuncture may temporarily make you 'feel' a little better. The only way to get better and stay injury free is to make active changes and engage in... facebook.com/51230118244948…
