@resend I just want to say that your email support doesn't seem to know what they're doing. I just wanted to downgrade our Transactional plan because we mistakenly upgraded it instead of Marketing. It has taken 13 days for them to downgrade our MARKETING (the wrong) plan.🤦

@jamespearce I stopped using twitter this year but I just had to log in to thank you for this wonderful piece of software. Screencast below shows two sessions syncing via y-websocket. I can't get over how easy it was to make this work.

Officially sold out! See y'all on November 10! If you missed out, stay posted. We'll announce if any tickets free up. Alternatively, let us know if you want us to have a second show date! If there's enough demand, we'll make it work. 💖

@beatobongco Yesterday I made a change that added 3 lines of code. Then I wrote the PR description for half an hour :))

@jadu_____ Hell yes. I'm so jealous of how other countries have amazing parks everywhere. You wouldn't even think of going to malls for recreation. But I guess that's exactly why we don't have them...

I've been living in a condo for a month and wow, I hella appreciate shared spaces, big parks and walkways for kids, dogs, etc. An area where you can get coffee & sit near the pool. It is indeed a privilege but it shouldn't be!!! Everyone should have access to spaces like these

I was trying to get @remix_run' logo for an architecture diagram when I discovered that right-clicking their homepage logo leads to a Drive folder with their logo files :O This should be made standard practice!

@themarksteve @HightouchData Nice! Curious: do you a delta check every time you run a batch job and send notifications based on pre-defined benchmarks?

@themarksteve We've been tempted to get bikes too, but haven't yet! Partly still too scared to bike in the city, haha.

@themarksteve Awesome to hear! Do you know any ML peeps I can ask about m1 compatibility? I already pulled the trigger on the XPS but I'm still super curious how the experience is.

Getting a laptop with 64GB of RAM. 16 GB isn't nearly enough when developing webapps / training models and using Chrome with 100s of tabs open. I have 30 GB of swap, and have gone up to using half of it. Why not 32 GB then? Because the 64 GB upgrade exists and it's just $100 😂

@beatobongco I'm hopeful about m1's compatibility tho. I haven't had problems at all with the stack I use. Even windows virtualization is 🔥

@themarksteve Thanks for the heads up! Tbh I might just dual boot again 😂 Looks like there's no perfect dev machine + OS combination yet

@beatobongco Network issues (that requires WSL instance restarts), storage space management (reclaiming storage is a chore and done manually but non-issue if you have >=1TB space), general bugginess. Used it for a year fine! Just remember fixing a lot of things along the way.

@themarksteve What are the specific probs for wsl? Like specific to ML workflows or misc stuff? IIRC people at TM used it just fine, ditto here at VS as well. Worst case I can dual boot Linux again but I wanna avoid that due to Bluetooth haha

@beatobongco I've had as many problems with WSL2 as working in M1, to be honest. There's a lot of abstraction in WSL2 that makes certain things behave weirdly. So I think it's a tie between them in terms of headaches :)) Battery life and consistent perf is a HUGE plus for M1 tho :)

@themarksteve Pytorch, tf. It's possible but have extra steps for installation and some peeps run into showstoppers for other python libs. Don't want overhead of running docker for most stuff. Probably going with WSL2 for quality of life

@themarksteve I considered that but didn't like you couldnt run a lot of ML stuff without jumping through hoops.
