@MilligramsTv Yeah, the 20GB version was $500 and the 60GB one was $600 in 2006, which makes ~$971 today.

PS5 Pro is now the 12th MOST EXPENSIVE console of all time. $3,550 — LaserActive + PAC (1993) $2,400 — Philips CD-i (1991) $2,385 — Commodore CDTV (1991) $1,620 — Neo Geo AES (1990) $1,580 — 3DO Interactive MP (1993) $1,500 — Bally Astrocade (1978) $1,245 — Apple Bandai Pippin (1996) $1,185 — Intellivision (1980) $1,070 — Atari 2600 (1977) $970 — PS3 60GB (2006) $911 — Atari 5200 (1982) $900 — PS5 Pro (2024) $856 — Sega Saturn (1995) *prices adjusted for inflation The games for Neo Geo AES were $200 back in 1990. That’s $480 PER GAME in today's money. If a kid had a Neo Geo in the 90s, his dad was like a cartel boss.

@Emm3D_TV I believe mostly at the beginning of the raid where players and scavs are alive. Battle(non)sense on YT caught those numbers in Woods during his netcode tests (not even in Streets lol).

@TheRooster Interesting, extreme stress meaning how many people are on the game at one time or like two bosses and 70 scavs and 10 players in the same area on one map?

"I shot him first!" No you didn't. The server is just too fucking slow. You'll spend $1000 on a 240Hz monitor just to play on servers slower than a government worker. 📡 SERVER TICK RATES 128 Hz — Valorant 64 Hz — CS2 64 Hz — Overwatch 64 Hz — R6 Siege 60 Hz — COD 60 Hz — Battlefield 6 60 Hz — PUBG 60 Hz — Marvel Rivals 60 Hz — The Finals 30 Hz — Fortnite 20 Hz — Apex Legends 20 Hz — Call of Duty: Warzone In Apex and Warzone, the server updates only once every 50 milliseconds. Even if you're playing on a $2,000 rig with a 1ms monitor, your bullets will still be bottlenecked by servers that feel like they're from 2007. If you die while already behind cover, it’s not magic. It’s the server the devs didn't want to spend more money on.

@Emm3D_TV It targets 60 but dips into 15–20 Hz during extreme stress.

Why do you die a full second after getting behind a wall? ➡️ The game uses Unreal Engine's adaptive tick-rate system. UPLOAD: Your PC sends movement and shooting data to the server at ~64 Hz. DOWNLOAD: The server sends game state data back at ~30-32 Hz (scaling up to 90 Hz for close-quarters combat) However, the servers suffer from massive compute strain trying to process ARC Raiders' complex PvPvE elements (AI, physics, player count). This delays server processing, creating a desync that perfectly mimics a sluggish 20 Hz server. TL;DR: It's a ~60 Hz infrastructure bottlenecked by heavy game mechanics. Until the devs optimize the workload on the servers, the desync isn't going anywhere.
