If you’re thinking long term, you continue to develop him at AAA this season in center then give it a chance next year. Call him up in September and let his Jon Jay tutelage start then 1/2

Is Joshua Baez the best CF, Certainly not But Jon Jay is an absolute wizard when it comes to teaching outfield defense, and Baez has the athleticism to be good out there. It might be rough tough to start, but I think it could eventually work

@RedbirdFarmhand Otherwise, I’m just riding it out with Noot/Walker in the corners and the 4th outfielders in center. Until Noot gets traded or someone stops hitting. Even with Jon Jay, it took Walker - a similar athlete to Baez - a full season of Jay and two offseason to get there. in a corner

AAA numbers sometimes don’t translate, I get that. But Baez’s offensive success is hard to ignore. Not sure how they could make it work in the outfield, but if he keeps hitting…
