Children need encouragement. If a kid gets an answer right, tell him it was a lucky guess. That way he develops a good, lucky feeling. Jack Handey

@Bobunapologetic @Martyupnorth And yet, we have real life examples of countries proving you wrong every day. How’s that drug problem in the US? War on drugs took care of it right?

Three things the left won’t tell you about birthright citizenship: - The 14th Amendment includes "subject to the jurisdiction thereof," referring to citizens and freed slaves, not illegals. - Roughly 9% of US births are tied to the birth tourism industry built around exploiting it. - Only 33 countries allow it, none comparable to the US This is a loophole being abused.
Congressman Shri Thanedar@RepShriThanedar

As an immigrant myself, today's arguments on birthright citizenship are deeply personal to me. The 14th Amendment is clear: the children of immigrants are guaranteed US citizenship. Despite President Trump's wishes, he cannot rewrite the Constitution.

This isn't a "U.S. strategic catastrophe" — it's a deliberate strategy. Trump is forcing the countries that actually depend on oil flowing through the Strait of Hormuz (Gulf states and beyond) to step up and defend it themselves against Iran's attempts to weaponize control of the chokepoint for political leverage. By announcing the U.S. will step back from direct operations in the region within weeks, Trump is ending America's role as the world's unpaid policeman. Those nations benefiting most from secure shipping lanes now have real skin in the game — they must secure the strait, negotiate from strength, or face the consequences of Iranian disruption. Negotiations involving the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, and others (even with Chinese mediation) are a predictable outcome of this shift. It pressures regional players to handle their own security rather than free-riding on U.S. military power. The dollar's long-term status won't collapse overnight from this; petrodollar dynamics have endured far greater tests. Claims of an imminent U.S. default in 15 years dramatically overstate the case and ignore the broader context of Trump's "America First" approach to avoiding endless entanglements.

The U.S. is in a strategic catastrophe! The UAE, Kuwait, and Qatar, together with China, have begun negotiations with Iran, with China taking the lead. And Trump has announced that he is stepping aside. This means the dollar is screwed. China, as a mediator, will demand that the yuan become the currency for oil trade, and we can bury the dollar and declare a U.S. default in 15 years. )) It only seems like that’s far away. Just one incompetent person with six bankruptcies behind him managed to bring such a country to its knees in one year. (( Applause to those who voted for him!!!

@Martyupnorth It's like this everywhere. By 2027 or 2028, the Canadian government will extend M.A.I.D to the homeless, and they will make the decision for them as being on the streets means you will likely not know what's good for you. So they will do "the right thing"

@JohnBouras3230 A divorce is a forgone conclusion. Carney has all but said he wants that. I don't believe going the China route is advisable. EU sure. The US doesn't want us either but cozy to China too much and they can make a case for invasion.

So last night I actually had a video chat with Berta Proud Dad, Pat King, and Tamara Lich. I decided to listen to them instead of attack them, and honestly, it changed my life. I was so blinded by leftism I was almost lost. Not anymore. I just signed the Free Alberta Petition.

Nobody said "zero impact" but if the goal is to then sell it all to everyone else, that revenue lmgoes to private companies and the corps. Saying this would help the economy because it would create jobs that create tax revenue while the same people calling for this do nothing but complain about the taxes they pay and want to reduce them constantly is kinda funny though. I'm not so sure the pro-pipeline lobby is the let's increase tax revenue one. If that's the goal, how about the gov't takes over the oil and gas industry?

Dear 99.9% of Canadians, Your life would not change a single bit if a pipeline was built. It wouldn't fix housing, grocery prices, your perceived issues with immigration... It wouldn't make gas suddenly cheaper. Stop pandering to billionaires and mega corps, it's ridiculous.
