@0liviajulianna Graduated high school 1985. Had a thrift store typewriter. Learned how to type from a library book. Most of my papers were hand-written. Average 10 words per line, so 250-300/page. Word counts estimated based on that. In college I would hand write drafts and type the final copy.

Okay Gen-X’rs I have a question. When you were in school and you got a report, did your teachers say it was suppose to be X amount of hand written pages? Did they say words? Like “must be 300 words” and you hand wrote it? Did you count word by word when you did?

I don’t think Buck is going to hurt anybody, but his presence in the female space will make people uncomfortable.

@FrognLily @BuckAngel @noahmichelson I never said it’s better to assume that. I’m just pointing out the consequences of excluding trans women from female spaces: 1: enforcers will mistakenly ban some cis women, 2: if the rule is gender assigned at birth, trans men are forced to use female spaces.

Which means you want to be alone, which is outside the definition of a female space. It’s not feasible to have a public restroom all to yourself.

@Carl4congressms @CecilBrown18 They don’t get from Mississippi. Or Arkansas, Louisiana, or Alabama. They get it from blue states, where incomes are much higher and people pay more federal tax. Red states depend absolutely on the largess of blue states when it comes to Fed $$.

Re: Medicaid expansion. Fed govt. would pay 90%. 166,000 low income folks would be covered. All payments go directly to medical providers. Billions of new dollars to the state. Thousands of jobs. Would save countless lives. What's the problem with expansion?

If we exclude trans women from the women’s room, trans men will be kicked out of the men’s room: you’ll be peeing next to Buck.

@BuckAngel @noahmichelson Also, if enforced, such a ban will inevitably eject a masculine-looking cis woman from a female space here and there. The people who task themselves with parsing cis and trans people and making that call in the moment will not get it right every time.

Don’t you think the average woman is going to be more comfortable, generally, with a trans woman in the bathroom than with a trans man such as yourself?
