What a year it’s been! Not only did we roll out a new UI that makes it easier to navigate the Docs. We also: 🔒 Locked tables and added fixed row heights. ✨ Improved the in-doc search and the icon picker. 🚀 Launched Packs like Zoom, Google Meet, and Common Room. And we now power @Superhuman’s AI-native writing surface! This list could go on. So, let’s hear it from Coda (and Jen’s puppy), in a not-so-serious 2025 recap 🎊!

Switched back over from android to iOS. For all the criticism iOS 26 gets, it is truly remarkable how fluid everything works. Also doesn’t hurt that I now have @NotionHQ Mail and AI apps. 😍

@CodeWithAmann Did you look at the image you posted? Everything is in one place. Plus so much room for creativity. Plus AI has all the context it needs.

Building Notion in 2026 needs a fundamentally different strategy than before. Here's the new way to get things done 👇 For years, building a Notion system meant a lot of manual work. Setting up databases & properties just took time. AI changes this. It's now faster than ever to spin up new systems. But you can't build them the same way as before — or you end up with the usual half-baked AI output that takes more time to fix than it saved you. So what's the move? Borrow a concept from vibe-coding: 👉 Spec-driven Notion development Three phases: 1️⃣ Plan. Give AI full context about your business. Then ask it to interview you — surface the blind spots you'd never think to mention on your own. (This is the step everyone skips. It's also the most important one — it should take up 80% of total time.) 2️⃣ Execute. Hand the spec to AI and let it build the data layer. Databases, properties, relations. You're a reviewer, not a builder. 3️⃣ Refine. Take over for the things AI still can't do — visual design, layouts, dashboards, views. If you're curious to see this in action, I just put together a full tutorial using this approach to build a Notion CRM in a fraction of the time. Drop "CRM" in the comments if you want to see it 💪
