I’ve done the work. It’s my job. Now remind how tariffs played out for McKinley in the 1890s. (Hint: He later regretted imposing them.) And remind me how the Smoot-Hawley Tariffs plaid out in the 1930s. (Hint: They precipitated a trade war globally and exacerbated a recession into a depression.) But yes - go one about how amazingly wise egregiously large tariffs are…

The easy thing to do right now would be to embrace the consensus view. You can claim the administration doesn't know what they are doing. You can scream about the stock market going down and fear-monger about a recession. Or you can do the hard thing — take the time to study how tariffs have worked in the past. The evidence is overwhelming that the mainstream understanding is flawed. For example, tariffs are not inflationary. They create jobs and actually drive consumer prices down. You wouldn't know that without doing the work though. Don't take the easy path. Seek the hard path. That is where the truth is.

@Geiger_Capital - Services are up 35%+ since 2022, Services command 75%+ margin - All product categories had double digit growth except iPhone. - Net income, margin and cash flow expanded as well. Apple wins where it matters 🤑

Apple Q1 revenue is $124.3 Billion. 2022 Q1 revenue was $123.9 Billion. 0.3% revenue growth over 3 years. (We’ve had ~15% inflation since then) iPhone sales are negative YoY. This is not a growth company. $AAPL
