Guernsey 🇬🇬 Local born, Silver Accredited tour guide specialising in tours for visitors, cruise ship passengers and corporates. Bespoke tours available.

Overlooked since the 1980s in favour of trips abroad, the Channel Islands have more hours of sunshine than the rest of the British Isles, blinding-white sand beaches, and a nostalgic vibe cntraveller.com/article/a-guid…

Unforgettable experiences start with smaller ships and longer stays. #Azamara #MoreToSea

"It’s a strange feeling to be driving around an idyllic island, [...] to see grey, concrete bunkers almost every few minutes, hidden in hillsides and looming on cliffs." Read @We_love_Britain's thoughts on their visit to our Islands for Liberation Day: discoverbritain.com/history/histor…

@toursofguernsey No problem. I didn't want to answer too many questions in the sidebar, just the ones that were short answers and probably not coming up later. You did a brilliant job of promoting the Island.

Well done @toursofguernsey for a great show on @WW2TV this evening. If you missed it you can catch up here. youtube.com/live/T0646jmo-…

While in Guernsey, we were fortunate to have Amanda Johns of @toursofguernsey showing us around. Amanda is super knowledgable and is doing a lot of good work to help uncover and preserve the WWII structures on the island. If you visit Guernsey, I'd highly recommend booking a tour with her at toursofguernsey.com. You can also catch her on WW2TV tomorrow!

The Channel Islands are seriously unlike anything else that I’ve ever seen.

It's been awhile since I've posted one of these Creator Roundups. Had a new episode of History Traveler drop yesterday, but if you're looking for some more history content for your brain, here are a few episodes that I've caught lately that you might like. And as always, do yourself a favor by subscribing to these channels. 1.) History In Your Hand. In terms of WWI, a lot of attention is placed on the trenches of the Western Front, but have you ever wondered where they ended? Rob has a great video showing where the trenches ran into the sea. Very interesting. Link here: youtu.be/81WTAqWaH84?si… 2.) WW2TV - Paul Woodadge. I just returned from a trip to the Channel Islands with Paul Woodadge and holy smokes, that place is cooler than heck. There will be some content coming in the near future from both Paul and I, but in the meantime, he shot some live videos while we were there that you should check out. Link here: youtube.com/live/pTFviYrCV… 3.) Sandervk History. If you like the animated maps shown on History Traveler, the man behind those is Sander of Sandervk History. He recently posted a very interesting video about a WWII naval fight a Scapa Flow. Also, he is REALLY close to that 100,000 subscriber mark. Help a guy out! Link here: youtu.be/PSovH2fA4jo?si… 4.) American Battlefield Trust. Is there any way to get enough of the American Battlefield Trust? I say no. They just kicked off a new series on Appomattox 160 today. Love this organization and what they do. Link here: youtu.be/u-bUAP1s9CQ?si… 5.) Battle Guide. This a channel that has served me well in learning more about WWI and I have to admit, prior to this video, I didn't really know anything about the Battle of Neuve Chapelle. In addition, they have two outstanding podcasts that you should subscribe to as well. Link here: youtu.be/T-VUSmU3kss?si… There you go! Plenty to keep your brain occupied today.
