Player Movement - we need 2 two things Input values & Physics. However -Inputs are very hard to get in Fixed update, they get recognized properly only in Update. -Rigidbody physics may not run well in Update & Fixed update is always better. even Time.deltaTime is not required as anyway its at fixed frame rate. so i think the efficient way is to get Inputs in update & find a way to use them in Fixed update for the physics. If anyone has a better way, pls suggest
