I'm absolutely heartbroken.
It went from only Pittsburgh or retirement to willing to play for another team...
I swear if I see Evgeni Malkin wear any other jersey in the NHL I'll be very turned off from the league.

@SomeGuyBry The Capitals have had their AHL franchise win 4 championships since their affiliation began and it turned into 1 Stanley Cup. Also, the ECHL is full of guys who will never sniff the NHL, so saying "Oh but we have a good ECHL team" means absolutely nothing.

Ah yes because the guy who hasn't won a Stanley Cup is certainly going to sign with a team that hasn't won a playoff series in 8 years and has a below-average pool of young talent once their old guard hangs 'em up. We really gotta be realistic here

Agree. Steelers would have tried to move out of the pick if they weren’t perfectly happy with Iheanachor and Lemon, and rightfully so. Steelers young core on the line is wicked and will help them out a ton when it’s time to bring along a young QB.
