I think if you’re going to have separate finances, proportional split by income is the fairest way. But also I cannot wrap my brain around separate finances in marriage. The only thing we separate is gift money from relatives, which is how we cashflow large personal items. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We made another baby @jordan_m_fuller ❤️. I’m going to have 3 kids under 3, and an 8 year old. Which is wild. But thank God for new life. I’ve been trying to take a happy pregnancy photo for a while and I’ve given up. It seems messed up to not have the normal joy I would with a new baby, and all my pics are depressing. The joy is hidden under grief. This year has been really tough. Interspersed with the joy of bringing a new life into the world, which I am immensely grateful for, but right in the middle of serious health issues with my dad, and right following serious health issues with my daughter (that have since fully resolved praise God). I’ve been knocked for a loop (as has my extended family). If anyone is wondering why I’ve been a bit miserable looking in the recent podcast episodes it’s because I’m pretty unhappy. I’d say depressed except I’ve experienced clinical depression and I know this isn’t an illness, it’s human sadness. Hiding off of social media doesn’t make me any less unhappy, and then rumors start, and I don’t need that on top of everything. So! You may see some somber looking photos until things get better. Life isn’t always all rainbows and sunshine. As for dad, because I need to mention him when I post or that’s really the only response I get, he’s still really sick. Rumors are starting to swirl around online, fueled by sick psychopaths, and my family really doesn’t need that. We’ll explain what’s going on next week now that we finally know (it took months to figure out and a lot of doctors or we would’ve clarified things sooner). Prayers are appreciated still. And thank God I have faith enough to know things will get better but for now, I don’t have it in me to be super smilie (but at least my kids do). And praise GOD that the rest of my life is so put together that we can handle trials. My husband is a rock, my mom and brother are incredible. My kids are healthy. Business is good (thanks to everyone supporting @petersonacademy). So praise God there isn’t more to stress about. Part of the reason to try to get your life in order is so you can handle trials when they come. I learned that from my dad. ❤️

Man, I was geeking out about this. Unbidden, in an empty room while watching the launch, I said out loud, “Aww, lookit Mission Control! That’s so cool! Lookit all their monitors! So fancy!”

Nah, my brother’s dog growing up absolutely had little gestures or noises she’d make to communicate with us. Best example is she’d come tap the metal guard on our sliding screen door after going potty to let us know she was ready to come in. Dogs can be pretty darn smart.

@IkenoYuki What’s the alternative? I’ve never had an issue with an American shower that wasn’t the fault of the water heater itself.

@IkenoYuki ... are you talking about the initial spray of cold water that was sitting in the pipes before the warm water comes up from the hot water tank? We learn as children to stand to one side before we turn it on. I want to ask you about your toilets though! Mysterious technology...

Ok, but if my dreams of being an astronaut had been realized, I would absolutely have Sailor Moon stuff with me in my personal effects. Not having some sort of Artemis merch at the Artemis mission would just be a failed opportunity, IMO.

@ankoromochuu I don’t know about other people, but for me it’s nothing to do with political efforts. A lot of my favorite pop culture as a kid was Japanese (Hello Kitty, Godzilla, Sailor Moon). As I got older and learned about the culture and people, I respected you all even more! 1/2

@SteveChadwick2 @BlondeOfWar Artemis I was unmanned. Eventually equipment must have live human testing in actual conditions. This is all very normal and textbook. We’ve had about 150 manned missions since the Challenger, and only one other fatal failure. This sort of mission is actually pretty safe.

Anyone know why it was even crewed for a fly by? Surely, we could have not "risked" anyone lives to test a ships ability to go around the dark side of the moon for 45 minutes in one pass and return.. .. And the launch suits... are only there in case of tragedy or malfunction... how about unmanned crews until those concerns are alleviated? PS Who else wishes they would provide a nonstop live 4k stream? not this in and out video with 60's quality?

The Space Shuttle Challenger gave us all PTSD. We watched it blow up during class and then went on with our day, no counseling, no trauma response. We were expected to carry on so we did. No wonder we're tough and DGAF.
