@tiredsunrises_ Even if AR hadn't written them as romantic later on (which she did) I think being able to find reasurance and peace of mind in someone you can trust when you are at your lowest is also a form of love and I'm afraid these ppl are too young or too inexperienced to understand it💔

@unalepidoptera They always just intepret Marius's actions and words of love and feelings with the worse faith possible while giving almost every other flawed & abusive character so much grace. Beautiful passages completely ignored or dismissed or twisted as Marius being a heartless villain

People criticize Marius for taking care of Daniel & attach insidious or even abusive motivations to it, but they don't stop to consider that Daniel being "out of his mind" was the outcome of years of a toxic relationship with Armand which ended with resentment & abandonment.

marius and daniel were NOT romantic partners, daniel was literally out of his mind, marius was "taking care of him" cus he will start coughing if he's not with someone dependent on him, later when daniel got better marius still wanted the dynamic to continue but obviously daniel was growing more distant and left him lmao
