Estuve revisando los muros de los rusos que viven aquí en Argentina, un 80% son directos partidarios de la invasión rusa a Ucrania, odian a Europa, EEUU y a la OTAN, y hablan cada vez peor de Argentina porque les endureció los tramites para obtener el pasaporte argentino y muchos no lo van a lograr y ya se rajan solos del pais. Son gente completamente inviable, incorregible y hostil para nuestro pais y solicito a gobierno de @JMilei directamente restringir el ingreso hacia Argentina de los ciudadanos rusos, y solo dejar entrar a los que comprueben que son perseguidos políticos por el regimen y que solicitan un refugio para ellos. Disagree. Ceremonial presidents are a wasted office. Electing them by Parliament means electing them by dirty backroom deals. We the Czechs have been there.
A directly elected president is a public figure with his mandate independent of other forces. Yet the system overall need not be fully presidential. A well-balanced hybrid works best, IMO.
As for electoral systems, as a Czech, I would advocate for two houses elected through different ways. The proportional system helps not to marginalise any mainstream political belief. But our Senate elected in one-mandate constituencies, through two-round majority voting, a third of the seats for re-election every two years, is the best safeguard I know against populism sweeping over the country.

What Eastern European countries should never ever adopt is 1) the presidential system and 2) the majoritarian electoral system. Both of these make democratic backsliding guaranteed. Avoid them like the plague. Ideally, elect presidents with ceremonial roles from the parliament and not by popular vote and keep to a version of a proportional electoral system (there are many, many variants, some even representative of various regions of the country).
