I absolutely abhor people who post something that subtly implies it’s their birthday just so others feel socially obligated to wish them a happy birthday. You know the ones. Vague gratitude posts. Forced introspection. “Feeling thankful for all the support.” It’s a special kind of attention whoring. The fake humility. The performative reflection. The silent refresh of notifications every five minutes. If you want birthday wishes, just say it’s your birthday. If you don’t, say nothing and accept that the universe does not give a shit and owes you nothing. You definitely won’t catch me doing that today. No hints. No gratitude posts. No lessons learned. No soft launches of personal milestones. Just another normal day on crypto twitter, posting through all the pain alongside you, like it’s not my birthday at all.
