If I had to guess, one key reason communists often turn on and eliminate their own supporters and sympathizers is that these people become direct threats to the new regime once the revolution succeeds.
The term "useful idiot" comes from the right, but the underlying observation has proven remarkably durable over time. This pattern comes directly from the purges that routinely follow communist revolutions.
Those who know how to overthrow an existing order and can rally crowds into violence are just as capable of using those same skills against the revolutionaries who hold power.

Here's something to think about: I asked AI to estimate the number of supporters who were ultimately killed by the ideology they helped to usher in. Nearly 1/2 of those killed by the Chinese, initially supported the revolution. In the USSR that percent was fully 20% or greater.

Indivisible is a textbook radical left operation masquerading as an organic “grassroots” resistance, but it’s really a well-funded political machine for disrupting conservative governance and pushing hardcore progressive and communist agendas.
Founded in late 2016 right after Trump’s first win by former congressional staffers Leah Greenberg and her husband Ezra Levin, two D.C. insiders who whipped up their “Indivisible Guide” as a blueprint for obstructing the Trump agenda, it exploded by copying Tea Party tactics but twisting them into nonstop protests, congressional disruptions, and electoral warfare aimed at electing Democrats and kneecapping Republicans.
These founders, who now run the organization as co-executive directors, have raked in millions (including big checks from George Soros-linked Open Society Foundations), all while coordinating local chapters to flood streets and schools with anti-Trump fervor, support for defund the police and defund-ICE movements, and their treatment of any center-right policy as existential “authoritarianism” or “fascism.”
The DOJ should investigate Indivisible and its founders, because this isn’t neutral activism. Instead, it is a networked machine with dark money ties, massive spending on elections and protests, and a track record of fueling division that crosses into coordinated lawfare, civil unrest, and efforts to undermine the Trump administration.
There have been reports of Indivisible allegedly receiving foreign funding to support their plans of organized opposition that looks more like a color revolution.
It’s time for the DOJ to conduct a formal investigation into Indivisible.

How does somebody who publicly said he wanted to “evict” President Trump from the White House, condemned January 6 and is on the record advocating for transgender issues get to become an assistant to the President of the United States and a Director at the National Security Council (NSC)? I am very alarmed by the lack of vetting under the current Trump administration, and the absolute recklessness by which the people who surround President Trump continue to employ Democrats and Trump haters without any vetting whatsoever. In my opinion, Representative Jeffries fails to demonstrate an adequate appreciation for the constitutional principle of separation of powers and the doctrine of judicial restraint.
As a senior congressional House leader, he should recognize that the Supreme Court has long maintained a strong preference for abstaining from matters of pure political policy that are properly entrusted to the legislative branch.
Such issues are best resolved by Congress through the democratic process, in accordance with the expressed will of the electorate, rather than through judicial intervention or the disproportionate influence of major campaign donors.

Los Angeles City Controller Kenneth Mejia says he asked for a budget increase to do more audits to stop the massive fraud taking place
He says in response LA Democrats have cut his budget over 3 years and reduced his staff
He says they did this because they don’t want transparency, “Over the past 3 to 4 years, accountants and auditors have been slashed at the City of LA. If you ask me honestly, does City Hall care about transparency and accountability? I'd say no”
One report I found said 27 positions stripped from the Controller’s office
They handle 800 claims and complaints of fraud and abuse per year but can’t investigate all due to understaffing
They only have about 8 performance auditors limiting them to just 2–3 performance audits per year despite 40+ departments and hundreds of programs
Democrats are laundering money and making sure auditors can’t catch it
They only have 5 investigators for waste fraud and abuse despite being America’s second largest city
