@thecrispytwig That's all up to you. But companies wont pay you more just because you have debt 😅 It's your choice whether you apply and relocate for a company. My experience relocating to Sweden has been great. Good labour laws, unions, vacation days, insurance, health, etc

@rose_bushes_ +1 on exaggerating shapes-the silhouette of a sprite is dis-proportionally responsible for how well it reads: consider bold protrusions/indentations and abrupt changes in edge-angle wherever you want to draw attention, and smoother lines/curves that flow into eachother elsewhere!

it'd be impossible to cover everything i think about while doing a sprite in a simple graphic like this, but i figured i'd choose a simple recent sprite split into steps to give you an idea of how my process works. detailing is very by ear, hard to describe where to minimize, etc

@mirrutatep @Jukobut3 theres middle ground to be found here imo - step 2 of the diamond tutorial seems redundant and could be substituted with a more substantive change to better bridge the gap. re. melon tutorial, theres no OBVIOUS change in last 4 steps unless scrutinized- (which avg viewer won't)

@Jukobut3 It’s interesting how when I make tutorials with more steps they don’t seem to gain much traction… where are all the artists who wanted the extra steps?

@ilyamokka although well-intentioned, i dont think this kind of post is constructive. check most pixel art veteran's palettes- they zig zag all over the place, for interest and to control a piece's visual 'weight' distribution! don't discourage beginner cooks from experimenting with spices!

I made a more intuitive example. On the left is the "wrong" tree from the original post, on the right is a fixed version. All colors are the same except one. I think it looks much better

@CommMethyst only typical meta stuff like no hashtags unless they're trending and especially no unpopular hashtags, keep your media tab clean, and post links to your new tweets on pixel art showcase discords to get your foot in there
